BendPak 10APX High-Rise Two Post Lift

SKU: 5175306

The BendPak 10APX is a 10,000 lb high-rise two post lift designed for taller technicians and shops that need more under-car clearance. With 79.5" lifting height (6.5" more than the standard 10AP) and 157" overall height, this clearfloor lift handles everything from EVs to cargo vans. The Bi-Metric arm system switches between symmetric and asymmetric configurations, and the ASARS provides over 2,000 lb of automatic swing arm restraint force.

Key Features

High-Rise Design for Taller Technicians

The 10APX provides 79.5" lifting height, which is 6.5" more rise than the standard 10AP. This eliminates awkward positioning during extended under-car work. With 157" overall height and 152" floor-to-top-switch clearance, it fits shops with approximately 13 ft ceilings.

Bi-Metric Triple-Telescoping Arms

The triple-telescoping design offers 22" to 47.5" front arm reach and 29.5" to 57" rear arm reach. Bi-Metric arms support both symmetric and asymmetric lifting configurations with the same hardware, so there's no need to swap arms for different vehicle positions.

Automatic Swing Arm Restraint System (ASARS)

ASARS generates over 2,000 lb of automatic restraining force through a 360-degree load-holding grip. The system automatically secures swing arms when lifting, with no manual lock activation required. A quick-release lever provides instant pressure release when repositioning.

Low-Pro Arms for Electric Vehicles

The Low-Pro arm design achieves a minimum pad height of just 4" (102 mm), which is critical for lifting modern EVs, lowered performance cars, and vehicles with aero packages. The arms use high tensile-strength steel and are optimized for outer-positioned EV lifting points.

Dual Direct-Drive Hydraulic System

Two low-pressure Direct-Drive cylinders eliminate lifting chains or screw mechanisms. The power unit runs on 220 VAC, 60 Hz, single-phase power and lifts the full 10,000 lb to maximum rise in approximately 45 seconds at under 70 dB.

Adjustable Width Clearfloor Design

The 10APX mounts in narrow or wide configuration using the expandable top beam. Inside column spacing is 108.5" or 118.5" with drive-through clearance of 92" or 102". The clearfloor design leaves the floor between columns completely unobstructed.

Questions About the BendPak 10APX?

Our team can help with lift selection, installation planning, and concrete requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the 10APX and the standard 10AP?

The 10APX is the high-rise model with 79.5" lifting height compared to 73" on the standard 10AP. That's 6.5" more under-car clearance. The 10APX overall height is 157" versus 145" on the 10AP. Choose the 10APX if you're a taller technician or want more standing room.

What ceiling height do I need?

Minimum 157" (13.1 ft) clear ceiling height. If your ceiling is lower, consider the standard 10AP at 145" overall height.

Can it lift electric vehicles?

Yes. The Low-Pro arms reach a minimum 4" pad height and use reinforced high tensile-strength steel for heavier EVs. The arm profiles are optimized for outer-positioned EV lifting points.

How does the Bi-Metric system work?

Bi-Metric arms support both symmetric (centerline at column) and asymmetric (centerline behind column) lifting without swapping arms. The triple-telescoping design provides 22-47.5" front reach and 29.5-57" rear reach.

What are the concrete requirements?

Single continuous slab with minimum 4.25" thickness and 3,000 PSI strength, cured at least 28 days. Anchors are 0.75" diameter with 6.3" length. Minimum 6" clearance from anchors to cracks or joints.

How does ASARS work?

ASARS automatically secures swing arms with over 2,000 lb of 360-degree clamping force. It engages on contact with no manual lock activation, and a quick-release lever allows repositioning.

What warranty is included?

BendPak's 5-2-1 warranty covers 5 years structural, 2 years hydraulics, and 1 year electrical and mechanical components. Registration is required within 30 days.

About the Brand

BendPak

BendPak started in Southern California in 1965 as a precision machining company serving aerospace and defense contractors. Over the following decades, they transitioned into automotive equipment, introduced their first vehicle lift in 1983, and grew into one of the largest lift manufacturers operating in the United States.
Their headquarters recently moved to a LEED Platinum certified building in Agoura Hills, California, and they've been expanding their East Coast presence with facilities in Alabama. This domestic footprint matters for practical reasons: shorter lead times, simplified logistics, and service networks staffed by people who understand the product line.
There's also something to be said for buying from a company with roots you can trace. BendPak's founder, Don Henthorn, built the business from a machine shop into a major equipment manufacturer over nearly six decades. That kind of continuity creates institutional knowledge that shows up in product quality, documentation, and the overall maturity of the operation. When you're investing in equipment that should last for years, buying from a company with that kind of history provides a certain confidence.
