General BendPak FAQs
Do car lifts require maintenance?
BendPak lifts are designed for minimal maintenance. Regular inspections and lubrication are key. Check the owner's manual for your specific model, but typically, monthly inspections of the cables, hydraulic systems, and lubrication points are recommended. This will help ensure optimal performance and longevity.
What are the floor requirements?
A level, structurally sound concrete floor is essential. BendPak recommends a minimum thickness of 4 inches with a PSI rating of 3,000 or greater. The floor should be level within 3 degrees of slope. Proper floor conditions are crucial for the safe and stable operation of your lift.
What's covered under warranty?
BendPak offers a comprehensive warranty for peace of mind. This typically includes: * 5-year structural warranty, * 2-year power unit warranty, * 1-year parts warranty
(Note: Warranty specifics may vary, so always refer to the official warranty documentation for the most accurate information.)
What voltage options are available?
BendPak offers flexibility with voltage options. Most lifts are available in both 110V and 220V configurations to suit your power supply. Be sure to check the specific requirements for the model you're interested in.
Do I need an air compressor?
Yes, an air compressor is necessary for operating the safety lock releases on BendPak four-post lifts. A typical air supply of 30-40 PSI is sufficient.
How do I find a certified installer?
BendPak recommends professional installation for optimal safety and performance. Contact your authorized distributor for a list of certified installers in your area. They can provide expert installation services to ensure your lift is set up correctly.
HD-7500BLX Specific FAQs
Can I store my hard top convertible car on this lift?
Yes, absolutely! As long as the vehicle's weight and dimensions fall within the lift's specifications, you can store your convertible. The adjustable runway widths are very helpful for various vehicle types..
If I store my boat for the winter, is it safe to leave it on the lift for extended periods?
Yes, that's what this lift is designed for. The robust safety locks and heavy duty construction means that leaving the boat on the lift for extended storage is very safe. We do recommend periodic visual inspections, as good practice.
Can I use this lift for maintenance work on my boat, like changing the propeller?
While primarily designed for storage, the lift does provide ample clearance for basic maintenance tasks. As long as you follow safety guidelines and don't exceed the lift's weight capacity, you can perform certain repairs.
How often should I visually inspect the cables and other components of the lift?
We recommend a visual inspection before each use, and a more thorough inspection at least once a month. Pay close attention to the cables for any signs of fraying, and check all connections for tightness. Regular visual inspections will keep your lift working safely
Is the HD-7500BLX ALI certified?
Yes, HD-7500BLX is certified by the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) to meet industry safety and performance standard. This certification provides assurance that the lift has been rigorously tested and meet stringent requirements.
California Prop 65 Warning
WARNING: Use of these products can expose you to chemicals including styrene and vinyl chloride which are on the list of over 900 chemicals identified by the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or reproductive harm. ALWAYS use this product in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. For more information, go to www.p65warnings.ca.gov.
This warning is required by the California Proposition 65 (Prop 65), also called the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act which is meant to notify California residents of exposures to Prop 65 listed chemicals that are known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. The State of California maintains a list of these chemicals and updates it annually.
The Prop 65 list currently contains over 900 chemicals and continues to expand. The law requires companies to provide a warning on their products and/or packaging if they contain these chemicals. Proposition 65 only applies to companies that operate, manufacture or sell products in California, but because our products are sold all over the world we have elected to include Prop 65 warnings on all products we sell to provide consumers with information so that they can make informed decisions about the products they purchase and use.
The warning does not mean that the product is in violation of any product safety standard, but that certain chemicals may have been used in the manufacturing or packaging production process, even if these products have been used for many years without documented harm.
