Features

A covered crossing on the floor

The 2.1 inch floorplate encloses the hydraulic hose and equalization cables between columns.

Reach for truck frame points

Front arms adjust through three stages and rear arms through two, with 32.3 to 63.8 inches of reach. Screw-up pads and included truck adapters help meet frame contact points on this 12,000 lb lift.

Chains raise the two carriages

Each hydraulic cylinder drives its carriage through a chain. Synchronized wire ropes keep the sides moving together and help prevent the vehicle from tilting.

One handle releases both columns

Automatic locks catch during the rise, and a single handle opens both column locks for lowering. A lock arm device holds each support arm against turning.

Guards at doors and upper travel

A height limit switch cuts off upward movement, while rubber guards line the column areas beside opening doors.

Wear-resistant carriage blocks

High-polymer polyethylene slide blocks provide wear surfaces inside the columns as the carriages travel.

Installation Requirements

Base plates span 155.5 inches

Allow 155.5 inches across the LTPF12 base plates and 127.2 inches between its columns. A column needs about 39 inches of wall separation, at least 1,000 mm.

Concrete and anchor requirements

Use steel-reinforced concrete rated 3,500 psi, with a minimum 4 inch thickness, a 28 day cure, and no more than 3/8 inch variation in level. Each anchor must be at least 6 inches away from any crack, expansion joint, or edge of the slab. If the existing installation area does not qualify, pour a suitable new pad. Do not install on asphalt or tile.

Direct connection to the breaker

Connect the 240V, 3 HP, 13 A, single-phase, 60 Hz cable straight to the breaker; a socket is prohibited. The electrical setup also needs a switch to cut power for maintenance or emergencies. A certified electrician is recommended to make the connection.

Warranty

Daytona 5 2 1 Limited Warranty

Coverage starts on the date of the purchase invoice: 5 years on structural components, 2 years on power units, cylinders, and seal kits, and 1 year on all other defective parts. Daytona replaces parts that prove defective on inspection and pays the freight on covered replacement parts shipped within the continental US.

Conditions

Coverage applies to the original owner and is not transferable. Equipment must be installed and used indoors and maintained as its manual directs. Wear parts such as cables, hoses, slider blocks, chains, and rubber pads are excluded, as are labor, service calls, normal maintenance, cosmetic blemishes, and damage from improper installation, overloading, or modification.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the Daytona LTPF12 2-post car lift fit under an 8 or 9 foot ceiling?
No. At 114.0 inches, the columns stand taller than both 8 and 9 foot ceilings. In a taller bay, the vehicle roof still needs clearance at the intended raised height; the pads reach 74.80 inches.
Would the shorter LTPF9 cover this bay instead of the Daytona LTPF12?
Only if the vehicles fit its 9,000 lb rating and 98.9 inch drive-through opening. Its 110.0 inch columns save 4 inches of structural height compared with the 12K LTPF12, while the LTPF12 provides the wider, higher-capacity floorplate choice.
Can the Daytona LTPF12 operate in an unheated shop?
Only if the indoor operating temperature remains within 41 to 104 degrees F. Below 10 C (50 degrees F), 32 grade hydraulic oil is an option in place of 46 anti-wear oil.
What needs approval before the Daytona LTPF12 goes over a basement or upstairs?
The building's architectural engineer must approve that location in writing, and the construction department must grant permission. Have both approvals in place before installing the LTPF12 there.
Which maintenance checks are due on the Daytona LTPF12?
Daily, check for hydraulic leaks, test the safety locks and electrical components, inspect wire rope connections and tension, and check the nuts joining plate chains to carriages. Monthly, grease the column slides, lubricate the chains and wire ropes, and torque concrete anchor bolts to 80 ft-lbs. Every six months, adjust the balance and safety ropes for level lifting. Clean the hydraulic tank and replace its oil after the first six months, then yearly.
