A bay can use the LMS6 car scissor lift without committing its floor to a fixed lift. This portable, 6,000 lb mid-rise scissor lift needs no anchors and runs on 120V single-phase power. Its lifting pad tops travel from 4.5 to 49.2 in.

Move the mid-rise car lift on wheels
The base rolls on its own wheels, and a two-wheel hand cart carries the power unit. Its ultrathin, low-profile design makes the lift easy to store when not in use.
Pivoting arms place four lifting pads
Each arm carries a pad that can be positioned at a vehicle's frame pickup point, rather than forcing every car onto one fixed pad pattern.
Two cylinders lift onto a mechanical lock
On this portable mid-rise scissor car lift, two hydraulic cylinders raise the platform together. Lower it onto the mechanical safety lock between them before working on or near the vehicle.
Height extensions reach higher frames
Included pad extensions add 2.5 to 8 in where a vehicle's pickup points sit above the standard pad position.
Hydraulics prevent sudden lowering
The hydraulic system prevents sudden lowering if a pipeline fails. The factory-set overflow valve controls hydraulic pressure and must not be adjusted beyond the lift's 6,000 lb rating.
Steel plate frame with a powder coat
Steel plate forms the platforms, extensions, base frames and arms, providing stiffness while keeping lift weight low. The powder-coated finish resists wear and chemicals.

Installation Requirements
Use level load-bearing concrete
Place the LMS6 on level concrete strong enough for the full load. Keep it indoors, away from wash bays, paint benches and solvent storage.
Match the supply to the 120V motor
For its 1.5 HP motor, the LMS6 requires 120V single-phase power at 60 Hz and 15 A. A qualified electrician makes the connection and confirms that the supply matches the motor nameplate.
Clear space around the moving lift
The base measures 84.0 x 40.0 in. Keep at least 1 m (39 in) clear around the lift as it rises or lowers, with the operator at the control position.

How low can a car be for the Daytona LMS6 to fit under it?
The LMS6 is built to fit under most sports cars and lowered vehicles, but fit still depends on the particular car. Its standard lifting pad top starts 4.5 in above the floor; the car's underside must clear the lift at the intended pickup points.
Can I work at the center of a car on the Daytona LMS6?
No. The middle beneath the car is obstructed by the scissor and its 63.0 x 39.0 in platform.
Does the Daytona LMS6 require shop air?
No. Its 120V (often called 110V) power unit drives two hydraulic cylinders, so a bay can run the LMS6 without installing or connecting a shop-air line.
Can the Daytona LMS6 be left outside?
No. The LMS6 must be used and kept indoors. It rolls on its base wheels, so you can clear the bay and store it elsewhere inside.
