Features

Open access between two platforms

The platforms sit 29.5 to 31.5 in apart. That gap leaves the center of the underbody accessible while the vehicle rests on the platforms.

Folding ramps extend the platforms

This drive-on scissor lift has approach ramps that fold out to extend each platform from 59 x 25 in to 83 x 25 in.

Equalized rise across both platforms

Double hydraulic equalizing keeps the platforms moving together through the 1-minute rise. If one side drifts low over time, an oil make-up procedure at the control box brings the platforms back to the same height.

Mechanical locks hold the working height

Compressed air releases the mechanical safety pawls. When descent stops, the pawls settle onto the safety gear; a lock in the hydraulic circuit provides a separate safeguard.

Hydraulic valves limit failure and overload

An anti-burst valve at the base of each cylinder limits descent speed if a hydraulic line bursts. Under overload, a relief valve opens and returns oil to the tank.

Controls sit in a separate cabinet

A 9 ft hose links the lift to a separate cabinet housing the power unit and low-voltage controls. An emergency stop there cuts the operating circuits.

Best For

Tire and brake service
With the vehicle supported on two platforms, technicians can reach the wheels and suspension components for tire and brake work.
Low-clearance vehicles
Sports cars and other low-clearance vehicles can approach platforms that start 4.3 in above the floor.
Compact service bays
The LHS7 brings full-rise access to smaller service areas where bay footprint matters.

Installation Requirements

Provide power and compressed air

A qualified electrician connects the 240V single-phase supply for the 3 HP, 12 A, 60 Hz power unit. Supply the pneumatic locks with 4 to 6 kg/cm2 (about 57 to 85 psi) through an 8 mm air line, with a separator ahead of the cabinet's air valve.

Confirm the slab and anchor holes

Concrete must be at least 150 mm (5.9 in) thick, level within 5 mm (0.2 in) over the lift's full length, and cured for 15 days before anchoring. Drill the anchor holes 120 mm (4.7 in) deep with a 16 mm bit.

Fit the platforms and cabinet

Allow 81.0 in across the lift and 83 in along each platform with the ramps extended. The cabinet may stand on either side, within reach of its 9 ft connecting hose.

Calculate raised vehicle clearance

Allow ceiling clearance for the 72.0 in platform top plus the tallest vehicle's overall height.

Warranty

Daytona 5 2 1 Limited Warranty

Coverage starts on the date of the purchase invoice: 5 years on structural components, 2 years on power units, cylinders, and seal kits, and 1 year on all other defective parts. Daytona replaces parts that prove defective on inspection and pays the freight on covered replacement parts shipped within the continental US.

Conditions

Coverage applies to the original owner and is not transferable. Equipment must be installed and used indoors and maintained as its manual directs. Wear parts such as cables, hoses, slider blocks, chains, and rubber pads are excluded, as are labor, service calls, normal maintenance, cosmetic blemishes, and damage from improper installation, overloading, or modification.

This is a summary of Daytona's warranty terms. Contact Garage Supply Guys at +1 (855) 498-2147 for warranty assistance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the Daytona LHS7 clear a lowered sports car?
Low-clearance cars are an intended use, but clearance still depends on the individual car. Four 2.5 x 5 x 6.5 in rubber blocks come with the lift; low underbody parts, particularly on sports cars, can still meet its structure.
How high does the Daytona LHS7 lock?
The highest mechanical locking position is 71.0 in. The platform tops can travel to 72.0 in, so use the 71.0 in position when judging supported working height.
What if the existing slab is too thin for the Daytona LHS7?
Pads can be poured under the platform ends where the existing slab is thinner than 150 mm. Each pad must measure 2,500 x 2,500 mm and be at least 150 mm thick before anchoring.
Does the Daytona LHS7 need a recessed pit?
No. The LHS7 is surface-mounted for indoor use. Its base is 2.3 in tall and 64.2 in long, so account for the structure at floor level.
Can the Daytona LHS7 lower during a power outage?
Yes. A manual lowering procedure at the control box can bring the platforms down when power is cut: lift the safety pawls clear and open the lowering valve by hand. Watch the platforms throughout, and screw down the oil loop valve immediately if anything looks abnormal.
What regular upkeep does the Daytona LHS7 need?
Lubricate bearings and hinges weekly, then the safety gear, sliding blocks and other moving parts monthly. Replace the hydraulic oil yearly, keep its level at the upper mark, and check that the pneumatic safety equipment responds.
