BendPak HD-973P Tri-Level Parking Lift

The BendPak HD-973P stores three vehicles in a single parking space. Its patented design uses shortened columns to fit where other triple stackers won't, and each platform operates independently so you can access any vehicle without moving the others.

9,000 lb bottom platform / 7,000 lb top platform
Independent platforms with adjustable locking positions
157.75" column height fits low-ceiling garages
Redundant safety locks and anti-fall catches
ALI certified with 5-year structural warranty

Who It's For

Car collectors: Store three vehicles in a single bay. Access your daily driver on the middle platform without touching the car above or below it.

Commercial parking operations: Triple your parking density. Optional drive-thru ramps let vehicles enter from one end and exit the other, and you can line up multiple units in rows.

Dealerships and fleet managers: Get more inventory off the ground. The 50-second bottom platform cycle and 90-second top platform cycle keep things moving.

Features

Independent Platform Operation

Most triple stackers tether the platforms together so they move as one unit. The HD-973P doesn't. Each platform has its own hydraulic system, so you can raise or lower any level without affecting the others. The top platform has 31 locking positions and the bottom has 13 positions, both spaced every 4".

Shortened Column Design

Standard triple stackers are too tall for many garages. BendPak solved this by engineering the HD-973P without the overhead mechanisms that add height to typical designs. The columns measure 157.75" (just over 13 ft) while still delivering 70" of rise on the bottom platform and 139.5" on the top. This fits residential garages and commercial spaces where taller lifts won't work.

Multiple Safety Systems

Safety locks engage automatically at each 4" increment. Spring-loaded anti-fall catches stop downward movement instantly if a cable fails. Backup slack-cable latches add another layer of protection. A padded trip bar with limit switch prevents vehicles from contacting each other. The hydraulic flow restrictor controls descent speed even if a hose ruptures. Lock release requires minimum 75 PSI air pressure.

Split Capacity for Mixed Fleets

Bottom platform: 9,000 lbs total, 4,500 lbs max per axle. Top platform: 7,000 lbs total, 3,500 lbs max per axle. Put your heavier trucks and SUVs on the ground level, lighter vehicles up top. Capacity depends on wheelbase; shorter wheelbases put the wheels closer to the center of the runways where there's less strength.

Aluminum Deck Runways

Both platforms have full-length aluminum decking. Runway width is 19" with adjustable spacing between runways: 35" or 41" to fit different vehicle track widths. Grease nipples on every sheave and axle make lubrication simple. The powder-coated steel frame resists corrosion for indoor or outdoor use.

Drive-Thru and Multi-Unit Options

Optional drive-thru ramps allow flow-through parking. You can configure lifts up to three deep and arrange multiple units in rows for commercial applications. Optional 4,500 lb air-hydraulic rolling jacks turn the HD-973P into a service lift when you need to work on a vehicle.

Installation Requirements

Concrete

Minimum 4" thick concrete rated at 3,000 PSI or greater. Floor must be level within 3 degrees. The base frame distributes weight across the slab, so most residential and commercial floors work fine. Installing on asphalt? You'll need concrete footers for the column anchors.

Electrical

220 VAC / 60 Hz / single phase. Dedicated circuit recommended. Have a licensed electrician handle the hookup.

Air Supply

Minimum 75 PSI required for the pneumatic lock release. You provide and maintain the compressor. It's not included.

Space

The lift footprint is 110.5" wide × 241.75" long with columns 157.75" tall. Add clearance for vehicle doors and walking around the lift. You can install units as standalone or in rows.

What's Included

  • Two lifting platforms with full-length aluminum decking
  • Column assembly with powder coat finish
  • 220V single-phase hydraulic power unit

Questions About the HD-973P?

Need help with sizing, installation planning, or pricing?

FAQ

What ceiling height do I need?

Columns are 157.75" (just over 13 ft). Add vehicle height at max lift (144") for the top platform. A typical sedan at full height needs about 17 ft total clearance. Measure your space and your tallest vehicle before ordering.

Can I get the middle car out without moving the top one?

Yes. The platforms are independent. Lower the middle platform, drive off, and the top car stays put. That's the main advantage over tethered triple stackers.

What's the difference between HD-973P and HD-973PX?

The HD-973PX has taller columns and longer platforms for more clearance and longer wheelbases. The HD-973P is the short-column version for spaces where the PX won't fit. Same capacity on both.

Is it ALI certified?

Yes. The HD-973P is ALI certified, meaning it's been independently tested to meet industry safety and performance standards.

Can I install it outside?

Yes. Protect the electrical components from rain and make sure water drains away from the base. On asphalt, pour concrete footers for the column anchors.

What size air compressor do I need?

Any compressor that delivers at least 75 PSI. That's the minimum for the lock release to work. You supply the compressor.

What vehicles will fit?

Bottom platform takes up to 9,000 lbs with a 125" minimum wheelbase at full capacity. Top platform takes 7,000 lbs with 135" minimum wheelbase. Shorter wheelbases work at reduced capacity. Most sedans, trucks, and SUVs fit.

Why does wheelbase affect capacity?

Shorter wheelbases put the tires closer to the center of the runways where there's less structural support. A 95" wheelbase on the top platform is limited to 50% capacity (3,500 lbs).

What maintenance does it need?

Periodic inspection of cables, hydraulics, and safety mechanisms. Grease the sheaves and axles at the nipples. Check the manual for the schedule. It's minimal.

How long does installation take?

Professional install runs 4-8 hours depending on your site. That includes assembly, anchoring, electrical hookup, air line connection, and testing.

Can I adjust the runway spacing?

Yes. Width between runways adjusts to 35" or 41" for different vehicle track widths.

What does the warranty cover?

5 years on structural parts, 2 years on hydraulics and power unit, 1 year on electrical/operating components, 1 year labor, 1 year free parts shipping in the lower 48.
