Who It's For

  • Home Garage Owners: Double your parking capacity without expanding your footprint. The narrow design fits where standard lifts won't, and the quiet 45 dB operation won't disturb the household.
  • Collectors and Enthusiasts: Store classic cars, sports cars, and project vehicles safely off the ground. Low-profile runways accommodate low-clearance vehicles without scraping.
  • Commercial Parking Operations: Maximize revenue per square foot. Multiple units stack side-by-side with minimal spacing requirements.
  • Dealerships and Storage Facilities: Professional appearance with enclosed components. Protect inventory while maintaining an organized, efficient space.

Key Features

Narrow Design for Tight Spaces

At 100.25" overall width, the HD-7P saves over 10" compared to the standard HD-7W. Width between columns is 90.25" with 76.5" drive-thru clearance. Fits in single-car garages and tight commercial bays where standard four-post lifts won't work, with the same 7,000 lb capacity as wider models.

Low-Profile Runways for Sports Cars

The 4.5" minimum runway height with extended approach ramps eliminates undercarriage scraping. Runway length of 164" accommodates most passenger vehicles. Low-bodied sports cars, race cars, and classic vehicles drive on without damage, and ramps feature non-skid surfaces for safe loading.

Heavy-Duty Aircraft Cable System

Four 3/8" stainless steel aircraft cables, each rated for 14,400 lb, provide collectively over 800% of lift capacity. Dual-hub cable sheaves reduce stress and extend service life. Cables are fully enclosed within the columns, protected from weather, chemicals, and accidental contact.

Multi-Position Automatic Safety Locks

Fifteen locking positions every 4" across 82" of rise. Four independent safety locks engage automatically as the lift rises, with pneumatic release to disengage all locks simultaneously. A secondary slack-cable device provides backup protection, and spring-loaded locks re-engage immediately if lift direction changes during descent.

Enclosed Internal Components

Lifting cables, airlines, safety latches, and sheaves are all contained within the columns, protecting components from weather, chemicals, and physical damage. Clean, professional appearance suitable for showrooms, homes, and commercial facilities. Side-by-side installations won't risk cable contact or component interference.

Electric-Hydraulic Power System

Single hydraulic cylinder mounted under the runway with integrated electric-hydraulic power unit. Reaches full rise in 35 seconds with easy-to-reach push-button controls. Maintenance-free design with internal anti-sway slider blocks in each column for smooth, stable lifting.

Questions About the HD-7P?

Our team can help with installation planning, concrete requirements, and accessories.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum weight capacity?

7,000 lb total with 3,500 lb front and rear axle ratings. Handles passenger cars, sports cars, SUVs, and light trucks within the weight limit. Note that shorter wheelbase vehicles have reduced capacity per the wheelbase requirements table.

How much narrower is the HD-7P compared to standard models?

The HD-7P saves 10" of overall width compared to the HD-7W. Overall width is 100.25" vs 110.25" for the standard model. Drive-thru clearance is 76.5" vs 86.5".

Can low-clearance sports cars use this lift?

Yes. The 4.5" low-profile runways combined with extended approach ramps allow most sports cars and race cars to drive on without scraping.

Do I need an air compressor?

Yes. An air compressor is required to operate the pneumatic safety lock release. Specification: 3-25 CFM at 50-150 PSI. Do not exceed 150 PSI.

What ceiling height do I need?

Column height is 100" (8 ft 4 in). Add vehicle height plus working clearance. For a typical 5 ft tall vehicle, plan for at least 160-170" (13-14 ft) total ceiling height.

Can I install this lift outdoors?

No. BendPak specifies indoor installation only. Extended outdoor exposure voids the warranty.

Can I move the lift after installation?

Yes, with the optional caster kit. The 4-piece caster kit allows repositioning with or without a vehicle on the lift. Casters are for temporary repositioning only.

What electrical power is required?

Standard configuration is 220 VAC / 60 Hz / single-phase. Other voltages available upon request. Dedicated circuit with time-delay fuse (25A recommended) and main power disconnect required. Licensed electrician installation required.

Is the HD-7P ALI certified?

Not all BendPak models meet ANSI/ALI ALCTV standards. Check autolift.org for current certification status.

What warranty coverage is included?

BendPak 5-2-1 warranty: 5 years structural, 2 years hydraulics/power unit, 1 year electrical/operating components, labor, and free parts shipping (continental US).

What maintenance is required?

Daily: Clean lift, inspect cables and locks. Monthly: Check fluid levels, lubricate posts and cables, inspect labels. Quarterly: Lubricate sheaves and bearings, inspect wire rope condition.

Do I need a forklift for delivery?

Yes. Heavy freight requires forklift or equivalent for unloading. Carriers do not provide unloading assistance. Liftgate service available for additional fee.
