Features
Dual Assist Arms
Upper and lower roller arms hold the tire bead in the drop center during mounting. Essential for low-profile and run-flat tires. The swing arm design pushes and pulls, giving more control than traditional single-direction machines.
186-Steel Bead Breaker Cylinder
Delivers 5,512 lbs of force at 10 bar. An embedded plastic pad protects the wheel finish during bead breaking.
Self-Centering Four-Jaw Turntable
One-piece machined chuck base prevents deformation. The four-jaw linkage provides synchronized movement and automatic centering from the outside in, with smooth, quiet operation.
Hard Chrome Working Head
High-frequency quenched and hard chrome plated for strength and wear resistance. The shape and angle are optimized for run-flat tires, and a plastic cover prevents rim contact.
Turbo Blast Bead Seater
The direct-connect design maximizes air volume for seating stubborn beads. Position the nozzle under the rim lip, open the slide valve, done. Handles low-profile and performance tires.
Rim Protection Throughout
Embedded plastic covers on the bead breaker blade, turntable claws, and working head. No bare metal contacts the wheel during any operation.

Best For & Vehicle Compatibility
Fit depends on your vehicles and your shop. Contact us with the year, make, and model, or your shop details, and we'll confirm compatibility before you order.
General Tire Shops
A solid workhorse for everyday passenger car, SUV, and light truck tires. The dual assist arms and self-centering turntable speed up standard tire changes without overcomplicating the workflow.
Shops Adding Tire Service
If you're adding tire work to an existing service bay, the FTC-1660 delivers commercial-grade capability at a lower entry point than fully automatic machines. The 110V option simplifies electrical requirements.
Mobile Tire Services
At 485 lbs and with 110V capability, this machine works for mobile operations with proper vehicle setup. The compact 44 x 30 inch footprint leaves room for other equipment.

Space and Floor
Machine footprint is 44 x 29.5 inches. Allow clearance for swing arm movement and operator access on all sides. A level floor is required; keep the area clean and away from brake lathe debris.
Utilities
Electrical: 110V single-phase or 220V three-phase, with a 25A circuit breaker. Air: 8-10 bar (116-145 PSI) shop air supply, connected via the pipe joint on the right side of the tank.
Before First Use
Verify the turntable rotates clockwise when the pedal is depressed. Test bead breaker extension and retraction, confirm all four clamps move together, and check the swing arm locking mechanism.

Call (855) 498-2147Frequently Asked Questions
What rim sizes can the FTC-1660 handle?
10-22 in outer clamping, 12-24 in inner clamping. Max tire diameter 41 in, max width 15 in. Covers most passenger cars, SUVs, and light trucks.
What's the difference between this and the FTC-T8?
The FTC-1660 is semi-automatic with a swing arm design. The FTC-T8 is fully automatic with a leverless center-post system and hydraulic control. The FTC-T8 handles larger wheels (up to 30 in) and offers touchless operation; the FTC-1660 is more compact and has a lower price point.
Can it handle run-flat tires?
Yes. The dual assist arms hold beads in the drop center, and the 5,512 lb bead breaker handles stiff run-flat sidewalls. The working head geometry is optimized for run-flats.
Do I need 110V or 220V?
Both options are available: 110V single-phase for standard outlets, or 220V three-phase for shops with that infrastructure. Specify at purchase.
Will it scratch alloy wheels?
All contact points have embedded plastic protection: bead breaker blade, turntable claws, and working head. Proper technique and lubrication are still required.
What maintenance is required?
Clean the turntable regularly and lubricate the clamp slides. Check and refill the oil mist device (ISO VG32 oil), retighten clamp screws after the first 20 days, and inspect V-belt tension periodically.
Still not sure it fits your shop or your vehicles? Call (855) 498-2147 with your setup details and we'll help you confirm.
