Features

Primary and secondary locks at every post

At each LFPP9 post, the mechanical locking device pairs a primary lock with a secondary safety lock. Lower the runways onto all four locks before working beneath a vehicle.

Release all four latches from one handle

Raise the LFPP9 until its four latches rise clear of their column slots. Keep the nearby lock-release handle held while pressing the power unit's lowering handle. Releasing the lock handle re-engages the latches; pressure on the lowering handle sets descent speed.

Adjust the runway spacing for tire tracks

The LFPP9 lets you vary the gap between its 19.3 in runways to match tire-track width.

A tray set comes with the lift

One steel tool tray and three plastic drip trays come with the LFPP9. The drip trays collect fluids during parking or light maintenance.

Level the runways at the lock ladders

Nuts on the four safety ladders are adjusted during setup to level the runways. The locks are then set to engage and release together.

Cylinder and cables lift the runways

Aircraft-quality lifting cables carry force from the 3 in cylinder to the LFPP9 runways.

Best For

Car storage lift for a home garage
Home and commercial garages can use the LFPP9's adjustable runways to park vehicles with varied tire tracks. Its 70.9 in maximum clearance under the runways provides room to stack a second vehicle when the garage and vehicles fit.
Oil changes and detailing
The drive-on runways raise a vehicle for underside access during oil changes and detailing while its wheels remain on the platform.

Installation Requirements

Allow height for both vehicles

Install and operate the LFPP9 inside a building with enough headroom for the stacked pair; post height alone is not the ceiling requirement. Add the full-rise space beneath the runways, runway depth and upper vehicle height, then account for door tracks and lighting.

4-post lift concrete and anchor requirements

The slab must be at least 4 in (100 mm) thick, test at 3,000 psi or more, be completely cured and level, and have no cracks. Set anchor bolts at least 90 mm deep and torque them to 150 Nm.

Place the pump near suitable power

The 1.5 HP pump can mount on any post. Its supply is 120V, single-phase, 60 Hz at the selected location.

Space for the tilting ramp

The aluminum ramp can be removed. Leave room beyond the structure to fit it and line up a vehicle at the drive-on end.

Warranty

Daytona 5 2 1 Limited Warranty

Coverage starts on the date of the purchase invoice: 5 years on structural components, 2 years on power units, cylinders, and seal kits, and 1 year on all other defective parts. Daytona replaces parts that prove defective on inspection and pays the freight on covered replacement parts shipped within the continental US.

Conditions

Coverage applies to the original owner and is not transferable. Equipment must be installed and used indoors and maintained as its manual directs. Wear parts such as cables, hoses, slider blocks, chains, and rubber pads are excluded, as are labor, service calls, normal maintenance, cosmetic blemishes, and damage from improper installation, overloading, or modification.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Daytona LFPP9 need for brake or tire work?
For wheel-free brake or tire work, the LFPP9 can serve as a 4-post car lift with jacks when fitted with optional RAJ5 units. Each 5,000 lb jack is purchased separately and needs compressed air at 110 to 150 psi. Lock the LFPP9 runways at the working height before the jack takes any vehicle weight, and never raise or lower the LFPP9 while a jack is carrying it.
Can the Daytona LFPP9 be a 4-post car lift with casters using the optional LFPP-WHL wheel kit, sold separately?
Yes. The LFPP-WHL kit adds four wheels for repositioning the LFPP9, with one wheel assembly installed at the base of each post.
Which end of the Daytona LFPP9 can I drive onto?
Either end can be the drive-in side. Choose the approach direction during assembly and place the tire stop plate on that side.
Can the Daytona LFPP9 run from an ordinary garage outlet?
No, if the outlet is on a 15 or 20 A circuit. The LFPP9 requires 120V (often called 110V), 26 A, single-phase, 60 Hz power, which exceeds either circuit's capacity. Confirm the supply at the planned power-unit position.
What regular checks does the Daytona LFPP9 need?
Daily, inspect the cables and sheaves for wear and test the locking latches. Verify anchor bolt torque weekly. Use penetrating oil to clean the wire rope cables each month and check runway level. Have the installer check cable adjustment after the first 50 loaded cycles and again after 300. Lubricate the ramp hinge pins and those on the front wheel stop every six months; check power-unit fluid level then too.
