Two Stage Hydraulic System

The two stage design carries the saddle from 34 in to 68 in, a taller span than a single stage ram covers. Lifting stays smooth through the full stroke with enough control to hold position while you start bolts.

Foot Pedal Raising

The pump runs off a foot pedal, which keeps both hands on the transmission for guidance while it comes up. Working alone under a car, that is the difference between a controlled lift and a balancing act.

Spring Loaded Lowering

Lowering runs through a spring loaded release handle that releases hydraulic pressure gradually. No sudden drops, and fine adjustments are easy when you are aligning the transmission to the bellhousing or transfer case.

Adjustable Saddle with Lock Down Chains

The saddle adjusts to fit different transmission sizes and shapes, and the integrated lock down chains keep the case from shifting during removal and installation. Between the two, the load stays put through the whole travel.

30 in Base on Steel Swivel Casters

The 30 in wide stance resists tipping with a loaded saddle at full extension, whether the vehicle is on a lift or the shop floor. Heavy duty steel swivel casters move the jack around tight spaces under vehicles and between bays.

Powder Coated Finish

The powder coat protects against rust, gear oil, and shop chemicals through years of use. Color varies with stock on hand at the time of order.

Installation Requirements

Assembly and Setup

The jack ships partially assembled; attaching the casters and saddle components with basic hand tools takes about 30 minutes. Use it on a level concrete or smooth shop floor kept free of oil and debris so the casters roll cleanly, and allow roughly a 4 x 4 ft working area for maneuvering.

Shipping & Delivery

Freight shipping within the lower 48 states; the delivery charge for your address is shown at checkout.

You are responsible for unloading. Lifts and large machines require a forklift, tractor, or other heavy machinery; liftgate service is not available for them and the driver does not assist. If unloading isn't possible at your location, choose a warehouse pickup option where offered.

Inspect your order before signing the Bill of Lading. Note visible freight damage or shortages on the delivery receipt at delivery, and report a missing power unit or motor at delivery. Other missing or incorrect equipment must be reported within 14 days.

Warranty

Triumph equipment is covered by the manufacturer's 1 year parts warranty; labor is not covered. Support is handled by phone: we troubleshoot the issue with you, then ship the needed replacement part at no cost, with ground shipping on warranty parts covered by Garage Supply Guys.

Hydraulic cylinders carry a 30 day full warranty; after 30 days, a seal kit and instructions are provided. Rubber lifting pads are wear items and are not covered.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the lifting capacity of the NTJ-2?
1,000 lb, which is sufficient for most passenger car and light truck transmissions, including automatics with torque converters.
Can I use the NTJ-2 with a vehicle on a lift?
Yes. With a maximum height of 68 in, it reaches transmissions on most two post and four post lift configurations, and the swivel casters make positioning under the vehicle easy. The 34 in minimum height also covers work done lower down.
How does lowering work?
A spring loaded release handle bleeds hydraulic pressure gradually, so the transmission comes down under control and you can make fine height adjustments while aligning to the bellhousing or transfer case.
What maintenance does it need?
Check hydraulic fluid levels, lubricate moving parts, inspect the chains and saddle for wear, and keep the casters clean and free-rolling. Follow the manufacturer guidelines for hydraulic fluid specifications.
What color is the jack?
Color varies depending on what is in stock at the time of order. All units carry the same powder coated finish regardless of color.
