Triumph NTC-950 and NTB-800 Features

Jet Blast Inflation System

The NTC-950 tire changer includes a built-in Jet Blast Inflation System that delivers a powerful burst of air to seat stubborn beads quickly and safely. This feature is especially useful for low-profile tires and run-flats that can be difficult to inflate using conventional methods. The system operates at up to 120 PSI for reliable performance on a wide range of tire types.

Powerful Bead Breaker

Breaking beads on seized or corroded wheels is one of the toughest jobs in tire service. The NTC-950 features a bead breaker system that delivers 5,500 lb of force, making quick work of even the most stubborn beads. This reduces strain on the operator and speeds up the tire changing process significantly.

Automatic Data Entry

The NTB-800 wheel balancer features automatic data entry that simplifies the balancing process. Instead of manually entering three parameters like wheel diameter, width, and offset, you only need to enter one and the machine automatically measures and inputs the other two. This saves time on every wheel and reduces the chance of operator error.

Wheel Brake Function

Applying wheel weights accurately requires the wheel to stay perfectly still. The NTB-800 includes a wheel brake that holds the wheel in position after the spin cycle completes, allowing you to apply weights precisely at the indicated locations without the wheel drifting. This small feature makes a big difference in balancing accuracy and workflow efficiency.

Wide Clamping Range

The NTC-950 accommodates wheels from 14 to 26 in with outside clamping and 16 to 28 in with inside clamping. This versatile range covers most passenger cars, crossovers, SUVs, and light trucks. Maximum tire diameter capacity is 43 in, and the machine handles wheel widths up to 15 in.

High Balancing Accuracy

The NTB-800 delivers balancing accuracy of +/-1 gram, ensuring smooth rides and satisfied customers. Cycle time runs between 6 and 9 seconds per wheel, allowing you to balance more wheels per hour. The balancer handles wheels from 10 to 28 in and rim widths from 1.5 to 20 in.

Standard 110V Operation

Both the NTC-950 tire changer and NTB-800 wheel balancer operate on standard 110V power, making installation straightforward in most shops and garages. No special electrical work or dedicated high-voltage circuits are required, which keeps setup costs down and simplifies installation.

Complete Accessory Packages

Both machines come fully equipped with the accessories you need to start working immediately. The tire changer includes metal and plastic demount heads, plastic wheel clamp covers, a tire iron, and a lube bucket with brush. The wheel balancer includes a plastic safety hood, quick release wing nut, cone adapters, wheel weight hammer, and rim caliper.

Triumph NTC-950 and NTB-800 FAQ

What is the largest wheel size the NTC-950 tire changer can handle?

The NTC-950 tire changer can handle wheels up to 26 in with outside clamping and up to 28 in with inside clamping. Maximum tire diameter is 43 in and maximum wheel width is 15 in. This covers most passenger cars, crossovers, SUVs, and light trucks.

What wheel sizes can the NTB-800 wheel balancer accommodate?

The NTB-800 wheel balancer handles wheels from 10 to 28 in in diameter, rim widths from 1.5 to 20 in, and tire diameters up to 44 in. Maximum wheel weight capacity is 150 lb.

What electrical power do I need for this combo?

Both machines operate on standard 110V single-phase power, which is available in most shops and garages. No special electrical work or high-voltage circuits are required. We recommend dedicating one outlet to each machine.

What does automatic data entry mean on the wheel balancer?

Automatic data entry means you only need to manually enter one wheel parameter instead of three. The NTB-800 automatically measures and inputs the other two parameters, which saves time on every wheel and reduces the chance of operator error affecting balance accuracy.

Do I need an air compressor for the tire changer?

Yes, the NTC-950 tire changer requires compressed air to operate. The machine works with air pressure up to 120 PSI. An air compressor is not included with the combo and must be sourced separately.

Will the delivery driver bring the equipment into my shop?

No, the freight driver only drives the truck. The driver will lower the equipment to the ground using the lift gate, but you are responsible for moving it into your shop or garage. The driver also does not assemble the equipment.

How accurate is the NTB-800 wheel balancer?

The NTB-800 delivers balancing accuracy of +/-1 gram, which is suitable for professional tire service. Cycle time is 6 to 9 seconds per wheel, and the display can show readings in standard or metric units.

What does the warranty cover and exclude?

The 1 year parts warranty covers manufacturing defects in parts. We troubleshoot over the phone and ship replacement parts free of charge. The warranty does not cover labor costs or consumable items like plastic protective pads, demount head tooling, the tire inflation hose, lube brush and bucket on the tire changer, or the wing nut, hood cover, tray cover, and wheel weight hammer on the balancer.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping typically takes 3 to 14 days depending on your location within the lower 48 states. Once your order ships, we will email you the carrier information and tracking number so you can call to schedule a delivery appointment.
