Features
Jet Blast Inflation on the Changer
The NTC-950 seats beads with a burst of compressed air at up to 120 PSI. It earns its keep on low-profile tires and stiff sidewalls that resist seating with standard hose inflation alone.
5,500 lb Bead Breaker
Corroded and seized beads take real force to break loose, and the pneumatic bead breaker supplies 5,500 lb of it. That is enough to handle stuck tires without damaging the wheel in the process.
Ranges That Cover Cars Through Light Trucks
The changer clamps 16-28 in inside and 14-26 in outside, with a 15 in max wheel width and 43 in max tire diameter. The balancer accepts 10-28 in wheels, rim widths from 1.5 to 20 in, tires to 44 in, and wheel weights to 150 lb, so its ranges sit slightly wider than the changer's on every dimension.
±1 Gram Balancing in 6 to 9 Seconds
The NTB-550 resolves imbalance to ±1 g with a cycle time of 6 to 9 seconds per wheel. Rim data entry is manual on this model, and the display reads in standard or metric.
Foot Pedal Wheel Brake
A foot pedal brake holds the wheel while you place weights, so it cannot creep off position as you press a clip-on home. Both hands stay free for the weight and hammer.
Metal and Plastic Demount Heads Included
The changer ships with both demount heads: plastic for alloy and custom wheels that scratch easily, metal for steel wheels where durability wins. Plastic wheel clamp covers are also in the box to protect finishes at the clamp jaws.
110V Single Phase Across the Combo
Both machines run on 110V single phase, the changer on a 1.5 HP motor and the balancer on a 1/4 HP motor. No three phase service or panel work required, just dedicated circuits and shop air for the changer.

Installation Requirements
Floor Requirements
Both machines need a level concrete floor able to carry the equipment weight. Plan footprints of roughly 56 x 40 in for the tire changer and 28 x 47 in for the balancer, plus clearance around each machine for wheel handling and operator movement.
Electrical Requirements
110V single phase for both machines: a 1.5 HP motor on the tire changer and a 1/4 HP motor on the balancer. A dedicated circuit for each machine is recommended.
Air Supply
The tire changer requires compressed air with a maximum operating pressure of 120 PSI. A compressor with adequate CFM is required and is not included; the balancer is electric only.
Height Clearance
The tire changer stands 80 in assembled and the balancer 56 in. Allow clearance above the changer's tower for operation.

What is the largest wheel this combo can handle?
The NTC-950 clamps up to 26 in outside and 28 in inside, with a 15 in max wheel width and 43 in max tire diameter. The NTB-550 balances wheels from 10 to 28 in with rim widths from 1.5 to 20 in and tires up to 44 in.
Will this combo work for light trucks and SUVs?
Yes. The clamping range and 43 to 44 in tire diameter capacity cover most passenger vehicles, crossovers, and light trucks on standard wheel sizes. Commercial truck tires need heavy duty equipment built for that work, such as the Triumph NTC-650.
What electrical service do these machines need?
Both run on standard 110V single phase power: a 1.5 HP motor on the tire changer and a 1/4 HP motor on the balancer. Dedicated circuits for each machine are recommended.
Do I need an air compressor?
Yes, for the tire changer. The NTC-950 runs its bead breaker and Jet Blast inflation on shop air up to 120 PSI, and a compressor is not included. The balancer is electric only.
How accurate is the NTB-550 balancer?
Within ±1 g, with a 6 to 9 second cycle per wheel. The foot pedal brake holds the wheel steady while you place weights.
What comes with the combo for protecting alloy wheels?
The changer includes both a metal and a plastic demount head plus plastic wheel clamp covers, so alloy and custom wheels can be serviced with plastic at the contact points. The balancer ships with cone adapters to center different wheel sizes on its 36 mm shaft.
