Triumph NTC-950 Tire Changer - Professional Car and Light Truck Performance

You don't need a machine loaded with features you'll rarely use. What you need is a reliable tire changer that handles the wheels coming through your door every day without slowing you down. That's the Triumph NTC-950. It covers wheels from 14 to 28 inches with both inside and outside clamping, handles tires up to 43 inches in diameter, and runs on standard 110V - no electrical upgrades, no headaches, just plug in and work.

The bead breaker delivers 5,500 lb of force, which is enough to get under low-profile tires that can stall a weaker machine. The built-in bead blast system seats beads with a quick burst at up to 120 PSI, so you're not fumbling for extra tools between every tire. It's a clean, capable setup for shops that want professional output without overbuying.

One thing that sets the NTC-950 apart from a lot of entry-level changers: it's built to grow. When you're ready to take on run-flats or more challenging low-profile fitments, optional helper arms bolt on without replacing the machine. Start where you are, expand when the work demands it. Installation & Setup

Floor: A level concrete floor is recommended for stable operation. The assembled footprint is 56 x 40 inches - plan your bay layout with enough clearance for the operator and tire handling on all sides.

Ceiling Height: The NTC-950 stands 80 inches assembled. You'll want additional clearance above that for comfortable operation, especially when handling larger diameter tires.

Electrical: Standard 110V outlet. A dedicated circuit is recommended to keep performance consistent, especially during heavy rotation cycles.

Air Supply: Your shop compressor must be capable of delivering 120 PSI. That's what powers the bead breaker, bead blast, and all pneumatic functions. Most commercial shop compressors meet or exceed this with no issue.

Lift Gate Service Included - Tire equipment ships with lift gate service at no additional charge. The driver will lower your equipment to the ground at the back of the truck. Moving the machine into your facility and setup are your responsibility.

Delivery Appointment - You're responsible for calling the freight carrier to schedule delivery. We'll email you the tracking number and carrier information when your order ships. If your location can't accept a semi, we can arrange terminal pickup instead.

Exclusions - Free shipping does not cover government secure locations, state and national parks, construction sites, islands, Alaska, or Hawaii. Contact us before ordering if your location may apply.

Frequently Asked Questions

What wheel sizes does the Triumph NTC-950 handle?

The NTC-950 handles inside clamping from 16 to 28 inches and outside clamping from 14 to 26 inches. Maximum tire diameter is 43 inches and maximum wheel width is 15 inches. That range covers the full spectrum of passenger car and light truck wheels you'll encounter in most shops.

Does the NTC-950 come with helper arms, or are those sold separately?

Helper arms are sold separately. The base NTC-950 does not include them. The machine is designed as an expandable platform - you can add optional helper arms later when you want to tackle low-profile or run-flat tires. This lets you start with the essentials and invest in expanded capability when your workload calls for it.

What electrical and air supply does the NTC-950 require?

The NTC-950 runs on standard 110V power, so most existing shop electrical setups will work without any upgrades. A dedicated circuit is recommended for consistent performance. For air, your compressor needs to deliver at least 120 PSI to power the bead breaker, bead blast, and all other pneumatic functions.

How much force does the bead breaker deliver, and can it handle low-profile tires?

The bead breaker delivers 5,500 lb of force via a pneumatic shovel-style design. That's enough to break beads on low-profile tires that can resist a weaker machine. For the most challenging run-flat fitments, adding the optional helper arms gives you the additional leverage and control those tires require.

How does the bead blast system work?

The built-in bead blast system fires a burst of compressed air - up to 120 PSI - to seat the tire bead against the rim. It operates directly from your shop air supply. No external bead seating tools are needed. It's fast, built into the machine, and handles the majority of passenger and light truck tires without issues.

How is the NTC-950 shipped, and will the driver bring it inside?

The NTC-950 ships free via LTL freight to the lower 48 states, with lift gate service included. The driver will lower the machine to ground level at the back of the truck. Moving it into your shop and all setup are your responsibility. Transit time is typically 3 to 14 days. You'll need to call the carrier to schedule your delivery appointment after we send your tracking details.

What does the warranty cover, and what's excluded?

Triumph provides a 1-year parts warranty with free replacement parts and free ground shipping. Labor is not covered. Cylinders carry a 30-day full warranty, then a seal kit is provided for repairs. Excluded from warranty coverage are rubber pads, protective covers, tooling, the inflation hose, lube brush, and bucket. Call us to troubleshoot and we'll get the right part shipped to you.

What is the assembled size of the NTC-950, and how much floor space do I need?

Assembled, the NTC-950 measures 56 x 40 x 80 inches (length x width x height). Plan for additional clearance on all sides for operator movement and tire handling. Minimum ceiling height at the machine location should be at least 80 inches, with additional headroom above that recommended for comfortable day-to-day use.
