Dual Pneumatic Assist Arms

Two arms work the tire together, holding the bead down on both sides during mounting and demounting. Pneumatic operation applies consistent pressure without the fatigue of muscling a stiff sidewall, which is exactly what run flat and low profile work demands.

Bead Blast Built In

A burst of air into the sidewall helps break stubborn beads and seat new ones, with no separate seating equipment taking up floor space. It runs off the same shop air supply, up to 120 PSI.

Side-Mounted 5,500 lb Bead Breaker

5,500 lb of force handles beads that have corroded onto the wheel and run flat beads that grip the seat by design. The side mounting keeps the breaker accessible in continuous shop use.

Clamping for Nearly Every Passenger Wheel

14-26 in outside clamping, 16-28 in inside, 15 in maximum wheel width, and a 43 in maximum tire diameter. That is nearly every passenger vehicle, light truck, and SUV wheel a general shop will see.

Within 1 Gram, With a Wheel Brake

The NTB-550 reads to plus or minus 1 gram in 6 to 9 seconds, and its wheel brake holds the assembly still while weights go on. Readings translate into correctly placed weights instead of chasing a creeping wheel.

Steel and Plastic Heads for Different Finishes

The steel mount/demount head handles everyday work; swap to the plastic head for alloys and chrome that scratch. Plastic clamp covers add another layer between the jaws and expensive wheels.

Installation Requirements

Floor and Space

Level concrete floor. The tire changer's assembled footprint is 56 x 93 in and it stands 80 in tall, so check overhead clearance; the balancer takes 28 x 47 in at 56 in high. Leave room for technician movement between the two.

Electrical

110V single phase for both machines, ideally on dedicated circuits with standard outlets within reach of each unit.

Air Supply

Compressed air up to 120 PSI with enough CFM to feed the bead blast system and both pneumatic assist arms during continuous use.

Shipping & Delivery

Freight shipping within the lower 48 states; the delivery charge for your address is shown at checkout.

You are responsible for unloading. Lifts and large machines require a forklift, tractor, or other heavy machinery; liftgate service is not available for them and the driver does not assist. If unloading isn't possible at your location, choose a warehouse pickup option where offered.

Inspect your order before signing the Bill of Lading. Note visible freight damage or shortages on the delivery receipt at delivery, and report a missing power unit or motor at delivery. Other missing or incorrect equipment must be reported within 14 days.

Warranty

Triumph equipment is covered by the manufacturer's 1 year parts warranty; labor is not covered. Support is handled by phone: we troubleshoot the issue with you, then ship the needed replacement part at no cost, with ground shipping on warranty parts covered by Garage Supply Guys.

Hydraulic cylinders carry a 30 day full warranty; after 30 days, a seal kit and instructions are provided. Rubber lifting pads are wear items and are not covered.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum wheel size the NTC-950-2 can handle?
14-26 in outside clamping, 16-28 in inside, 15 in maximum wheel width, and tires up to 43 in in diameter. That covers the vast majority of passenger vehicles, SUVs, and light trucks.
Can this combo handle run flat tires?
Yes, that is the point of the dual assist arms: both hold down the stiff sidewalls that make run flats difficult, while the bead blast system helps break and seat the beads.
What power supply do I need?
Both machines run on standard 110V single phase. Dedicated circuits for each machine are recommended for consistent performance.
What air supply does the tire changer need?
A shop compressor rated to 120 PSI with enough airflow for the bead blast system and both pneumatic assist arms. A compressor that maintains pressure during continuous use matters in a busy shop.
How accurate is the NTB-550 wheel balancer?
Plus or minus 1 gram with a 6 to 9 second cycle time. The wheel brake holds the assembly during weight placement, so the reading translates into a correctly placed weight.
Does the balancer have automatic data entry?
No. Wheel dimensions are entered manually using the included rim caliper, and the display reads in either standard or metric units.
