Triumph NTC-950-2 Features

Dual Pneumatic Assist Arms

The NTC-950-2 features two pneumatic assist arms that work together to make mounting and demounting difficult tires far easier than single-arm designs. These arms provide controlled downward pressure on the tire sidewall, preventing bead damage while giving technicians precise control over stiff, low-profile, and run-flat tires. This dual-arm system significantly reduces the physical effort required and speeds up the tire changing process.

Bead Blast Technology

The integrated bead blast system shoots a powerful burst of compressed air into the tire sidewall to help seat stubborn beads and inflate tires quickly. This feature is especially valuable when working with wide profile and low-profile tires that can be difficult to seat using standard inflation methods. The bead blast operates at up to 120 PSI for reliable performance.

Heavy-Duty Bead Breaker

A powerful side-mounted bead breaker delivers 5,500 lb of force to break even the most stubborn beads. This level of force handles corroded rims, seized beads from run-flat tires, and heavily worn tires that have been in service for extended periods. The side-mount design provides excellent leverage and keeps the work area clear.

Versatile Clamping Range

The turntable accommodates wheels from 14 to 28 in in diameter, with inside clamping from 16 to 28 in and outside clamping from 14 to 26 in. This range covers passenger vehicles, light trucks, SUVs, and many commercial applications. Maximum wheel width is 15 in and maximum tire diameter is 43 in.

Dual Mount/Demount Heads

The NTC-950-2 includes both steel and plastic mount/demount heads. The steel head provides durability for standard wheels, while the plastic head protects expensive alloy and custom wheels from scratches and damage. Switching between heads is quick and straightforward.

Complete Wheel Protection Kit

Plastic wheel clamp covers protect rim surfaces during clamping, preventing cosmetic damage to alloy and chrome wheels. Combined with the plastic mount/demount head, the NTC-950-2 lets you service premium wheels with confidence.

Triumph NTC-950-2 FAQ

What size wheels can the Triumph NTC-950-2 handle?

The NTC-950-2 accommodates a wide range of wheel sizes. Inside clamping ranges from 16 to 28 in, outside clamping from 14 to 26 in, with a maximum wheel width of 15 in and maximum tire diameter of 43 in. This covers most passenger vehicles, SUVs, light trucks, and many commercial applications.

Can this tire changer handle run-flat tires?

Yes. The Triumph NTC-950-2 is specifically designed to handle run-flat tires along with wide profile and low-profile tires. The dual pneumatic assist arms provide the controlled pressure needed to mount and demount these difficult tires without damage, and the 5,500 lb bead breaker has plenty of force to break stiff run-flat beads.

What power does the NTC-950-2 require?

The tire changer runs on standard 110V power for the 1.5 HP motor. You will also need a shop air compressor capable of delivering up to 120 PSI to power the pneumatic assist arms, bead breaker, and bead blast system.

What is bead blast technology?

Bead blast is a system that shoots a powerful burst of compressed air into the tire sidewall. This helps seat stubborn beads and inflate tires quickly, which is especially useful when working with wide profile and low-profile tires that can be difficult to seat using standard inflation alone. The NTC-950-2's bead blast operates at up to 120 PSI.

How does shipping work for this tire changer?

The NTC-950-2 ships free via LTL freight to the lower 48 United States. Shipping includes lift gate service, so the driver will lower the 900 lb machine to the ground at the back of the truck. You are responsible for moving the equipment into your shop and for calling the carrier to schedule a delivery appointment. Transit time is typically 3 to 14 days.

Will the driver bring the tire changer inside my shop?

No. The freight driver only drives the truck and will use the lift gate to lower the equipment to ground level. The driver does not move the tire changer inside your shop, garage, or building, and does not assemble the equipment. You will need to arrange for moving the 900 lb unit from the delivery point.

What does the warranty cover?

Triumph provides a 1 year parts warranty with no labor coverage. If something goes wrong, call us and we will troubleshoot the issue over the phone, then ship replacement parts free of charge.
