Features
Assist Arm on the Tire Changer
The NTC-950-1's assist arm holds stiff sidewalls in position during mounting and demounting, which is what makes run flat and low profile tires workable without a second set of hands. It widens the range of vehicles you can take on to include the luxury and performance cars that wear these fitments from the factory.
5,500 lb Bead Breaker with 120 PSI Bead Blast
Reinforced run flat beads and wheels that have carried the same tire for years need real force to let go, and 5,500 lb does it. On the seating side, a burst of air at up to 120 PSI pops beads into place that would rather fold into the drop well.
Clamping From Compacts to Light Trucks
16-28 in inside clamping, 14-26 in outside, a 15 in maximum wheel width, and tires up to 43 in. The vast majority of passenger cars, crossovers, SUVs, and light trucks fit without a second machine.
Within 1 Gram in 6 to 9 Seconds
The NTB-550 measures to plus or minus 1 gram with a 6 to 9 second cycle, enough precision to keep vibration comebacks off the schedule. Capacity runs 10-28 in wheels, rim widths from 1.5 to 20 in, and assemblies up to 150 lb on a 36 mm shaft.
Foot Pedal Wheel Brake
The pedal brake locks the wheel while you set weights, so the assembly does not creep off the mark between reading and placement. A small feature that saves real time over a day of balancing.
Manual Data Entry, Standard or Metric
There is no automatic data entry on the NTB-550; wheel dimensions are entered by hand using the included rim caliper. The display reads in standard or metric, whichever your shop thinks in.
Wheel Protection Included
Metal and plastic demount heads let you match the head to the wheel finish, and plastic clamp covers keep the jaws off alloy and chrome. The balancer adds a plastic safety hood for spin cycles.

Installation Requirements
Floor and Space
Level concrete in good condition. The balancer's assembled footprint is 28 x 47 in with 56 in of height; leave working clearance around both machines for tire handling and technician movement.
Electrical
Both machines run on standard 110V outlets. Dedicated circuits are recommended for commercial use.
Air Supply
The tire changer needs compressed air at up to 120 PSI for the bead blast system. A compressor with enough CFM for continuous tire work is the practical minimum.

Call (855) 498-2147Frequently Asked Questions
What is the largest wheel this combo can handle?
The tire changer clamps up to 28 in inside and 26 in outside with a 43 in maximum tire diameter. The balancer takes 10-28 in wheels up to a 44 in tire diameter. Most passenger cars, crossovers, SUVs, and light trucks fit both machines.
Can the tire changer handle run flat tires?
Yes. The NTC-950-1's assist arm holds run flat and low profile sidewalls in position during mounting and demounting, and the 5,500 lb bead breaker handles their reinforced beads.
What power do I need?
Both machines run on standard 110V outlets. For commercial use, put each on a dedicated circuit.
Do I need an air compressor?
Yes, for the tire changer. Its bead blast system operates at up to 120 PSI, so you need a compressor with the pressure and volume for continuous tire service work.
How accurate is the NTB-550 wheel balancer?
It measures to within 1 gram with a 6 to 9 second cycle. The foot pedal brake holds the wheel still while you place weights, which protects that accuracy.
What is the balancer's weight capacity?
Up to 150 lb per wheel on a 36 mm shaft, with wheel diameters from 10 to 28 in and rim widths from 1.5 to 20 in. That covers most passenger car, SUV, and light truck wheels.
