Triumph NTB-800 Wheel Balancer with Automatic Data Entry for Professional and Home Garages
The Triumph NTB-800 is a computer wheel balancer designed to save time and reduce user error with its automatic data entry system. Unlike standard balancers that require manual input of rim diameter, rim width, and wheel distance, the NTB-800 only needs you to enter the wheel width. The other two measurements are captured automatically when you touch the distance ruler to the mounted wheel. This feature alone saves an estimated 25% in labor time per wheel. The NTB-800 runs on standard 110V power, delivers accuracy within +/-1 gram, and includes a 1 year parts warranty.
Triumph NTB-800: Who It's For
- Tire and Auto Shops: The automatic data entry system and fast 6-9 second cycle time help professional shops move through more vehicles per day with fewer input errors.
- Home Garage Enthusiasts: If you do your own tire work, the NTB-800 brings shop-level accuracy and convenience to your personal garage without requiring a learning curve on complex data entry.
- Fleet Maintenance Operations: Shops servicing fleet vehicles benefit from the time savings and consistency that automatic measurement provides across high volumes of wheels.
- Budget-Conscious Buyers: The NTB-800 offers advanced automatic data entry features at a price point accessible to smaller shops and serious DIYers.
- Technicians Who Value Accuracy: With +/-1 gram precision and automatic measurement capture, the NTB-800 reduces the chance of human error that can lead to comebacks and customer complaints.
Triumph NTB-800 Features
Automatic Data Entry System
The standout feature of the NTB-800 is its automatic data entry. While traditional wheel balancers require you to manually input rim diameter, rim width, and wheel distance, the NTB-800 only needs the wheel width entered by hand. Simply touch the distance ruler to the mounted wheel and the machine automatically captures the rim diameter and distance measurements. This reduces setup time by an estimated 25% and virtually eliminates measurement input errors.
Foot Pedal Wheel Brake
The included foot pedal wheel brake holds the tire securely in place while you install balance weights. This hands-free locking mechanism allows you to work more efficiently and safely, keeping the wheel stationary without needing to hold it manually or wait for it to stop spinning on its own.
Wide Wheel Size Range
The NTB-800 accommodates wheel diameters from 10 in to 28 in and rim widths from 1.5 in to 20 in. It handles tires up to 44 in in diameter and wheels weighing up to 150 lb. This range covers everything from compact car wheels to larger truck and SUV wheels commonly seen in general automotive service.
Fast Cycle Time
Each balancing cycle takes just 6-9 seconds, allowing you to process wheels quickly without sacrificing accuracy. Combined with the automatic data entry, the NTB-800 significantly reduces the total time spent per wheel compared to manual-entry balancers.
Precision Accuracy
The NTB-800 delivers balancing accuracy within +/-1 gram, ensuring smooth rides and eliminating vibration issues. This level of precision meets the demands of both professional shops and discerning vehicle owners who expect quality work.
Standard or Metric Display
The display can be set to show measurements in either standard (imperial) or metric units, making the machine easy to use regardless of your preferred measurement system or the specifications provided by tire manufacturers.

Triumph NTB-800 Shipping and Delivery
LTL Freight Shipping
The Triumph NTB-800 ships via LTL common carrier freight on a 48-foot semi truck. Shipping to the lower 48 United States is free. Transit time typically ranges from 3-14 days depending on your location. Once your order ships, you will receive an email with carrier information and tracking number.
Delivery and Unloading
Your shipment includes lift gate service, which means the driver will lower the equipment to the ground at the back of the truck. The driver does not move the equipment into your shop or garage and does not assemble the unit. You are responsible for moving the balancer from the delivery point to its final location. If you prefer, we can ship to the carrier's nearest freight terminal for you to pick up with a trailer or moving van.
Delivery Appointment
You are responsible for contacting the freight company to schedule a delivery appointment. We provide the carrier contact information when your equipment ships, but since we don't know your schedule, you will need to coordinate the delivery time directly with the carrier.
Shipping Exclusions
Free shipping does not include delivery to government secure locations, state and national parks, construction sites, islands, Alaska, or Hawaii. If your delivery falls into one of these categories, please contact us for a shipping quote.
Triumph NTB-800 Warranty
1 Year Parts Warranty
- Coverage: 1 year parts warranty with no labor coverage. If you experience a problem, call us and we will troubleshoot the issue over the phone with you.
- Parts Replacement: If a replacement part is needed, we ship it to you free of charge. Both the part and shipping are covered at no cost to you (ground service).
- Labor: The warranty does not cover labor costs for installing replacement parts. Most repairs are straightforward enough for a car mechanic to handle, or you can pay a technician to do the work.
- Exclusions: The warranty does not cover the quick release wing nut or wheel hood on wheel balancers.

Triumph NTB-800 FAQ
What wheel sizes can the Triumph NTB-800 handle?
The NTB-800 accommodates wheel diameters from 10 in to 28 in, rim widths from 1.5 in to 20 in, and tire diameters up to 44 in. It can handle wheels weighing up to 150 lb, making it suitable for most passenger cars, trucks, and SUVs.
How does the automatic data entry work?
Traditional wheel balancers require you to manually enter three measurements: rim diameter, rim width, and wheel distance. With the NTB-800, you only enter the rim width manually. When you touch the distance ruler to the mounted wheel, the machine automatically captures the rim diameter and distance measurements. This saves approximately 25% in setup time per wheel and reduces input errors.
What is the difference between the NTB-800 and the NTB-550?
The main difference is automatic data entry. The NTB-550 requires manual input of all three wheel measurements (rim diameter, rim width, and distance). The NTB-800 only requires manual entry of rim width, with the other two measurements captured automatically. The NTB-800 also includes a foot pedal wheel brake. These features make the NTB-800 faster and more user-friendly.
What power supply does the NTB-800 require?
The NTB-800 operates on standard 110V power, so it plugs into a regular household outlet. It uses a 1/4 HP motor. A dedicated circuit is recommended for optimal performance.
How accurate is the Triumph NTB-800?
The NTB-800 provides balancing accuracy within +/-1 gram, which meets professional shop standards. This precision helps eliminate vibration issues and ensures smooth rides for your customers or personal vehicles.
What does the foot pedal wheel brake do?
The foot pedal brake locks the wheel in place while you apply balance weights. Instead of holding the wheel by hand or waiting for it to stop spinning, you simply press the pedal to secure it. This makes weight application faster, safer, and more convenient.
How is the NTB-800 shipped and delivered?
The NTB-800 ships via LTL freight with free shipping to the lower 48 states. Lift gate service is included, so the driver will lower the unit to ground level at the back of the truck. You are responsible for moving it into your shop and completing assembly. Transit time is typically 3-14 days depending on your location.
What does the warranty cover?
Triumph provides a 1 year parts warranty with no labor coverage. If something goes wrong, you call us, we troubleshoot over the phone, and we ship replacement parts free of charge (part and ground shipping both free). The warranty does not cover the quick release wing nut or wheel hood, and you are responsible for installing replacement parts yourself.
Can I pick up the balancer at a freight terminal instead of home delivery?
Yes. If you prefer, we can ship to the carrier's nearest freight terminal for you to pick up with your own trailer or moving van. Just let us know when placing your order and we can arrange terminal pickup instead of delivery.
How long does each balancing cycle take?
Each balancing cycle takes 6-9 seconds. Combined with the automatic data entry system, the NTB-800 allows you to process wheels quickly without sacrificing accuracy.
