Triumph NTB-550 Features
Foot Pedal Wheel Brake
The NTB-550 includes a foot pedal operated wheel brake that holds the wheel firmly in place while you position weights. This hands-free control increases balancing accuracy by preventing the wheel from shifting during weight application. Simply press the pedal to lock the wheel, attach your weights, and release to spin again.
Static and Dynamic Balancing Modes
Switch between static and dynamic balancing modes to handle any wheel configuration. Dynamic mode identifies imbalances on both the inner and outer planes of the wheel, while static mode is ideal for wheels where weight placement options are limited. The NTB-550 gives you the flexibility to balance wheels the right way every time.
Self-Calibration System
The built-in self-calibration feature ensures your Triumph NTB-550 maintains its +/-1 gram accuracy over time. Run the calibration routine periodically to compensate for any environmental changes or wear, keeping your balancing results consistent and reliable without the need for professional service calls.
Dual Unit Display
Work in the measurement system you prefer. The NTB-550 display switches between grams and ounces for weight readings, and between millimeters and inches for dimensional input. This flexibility is especially helpful when working with wheel specifications from different manufacturers or following various service procedures.
Wide Wheel Size Range
The NTB-550 accommodates wheels from 10 to 28 inches in diameter with rim widths from 1.5 to 20 inches. Combined with the 44 inch maximum tire diameter and 150 lb weight capacity, this balancer handles everything from compact car wheels to larger light truck and SUV applications.
Fast Cycle Time
Complete each balancing cycle in just 6 to 9 seconds. The quick spin-up and measurement process means less waiting and more productivity, whether you're balancing a single set of wheels in your home garage or processing multiple vehicles in a shop environment.
Alloy Wheel Capability
The NTB-550 comes equipped to handle alloy wheels right out of the box. The included cone set and speed nut allow for secure mounting of various wheel types without risking damage to delicate finishes. Balance steel wheels and alloy wheels with equal precision.
