Triumph NTB-1200 Features

Heavy Duty Wheel Capacity

The NTB-1200 handles wheel diameters from 10 in to 28 in, with rim widths ranging from 1.5 in to 20 in. The 350 lb maximum wheel weight capacity and 51 in maximum tire diameter ensure you can balance everything from compact car wheels to large commercial truck assemblies. The 42 mm shaft provides solid support for heavy wheel and tire combinations.

Automatic Measurement System

Built-in automatic distance and wheel diameter measuring speeds up your workflow by eliminating manual data entry for these parameters. Simply mount the wheel, let the machine take its measurements, and proceed to balancing. This feature reduces setup time and minimizes operator error, especially when working through a high volume of different wheel sizes throughout the day.

Fast 8 Second Cycle Time

Complete balance measurements in just 8 seconds per wheel. When you are balancing multiple wheels per vehicle across a busy shop schedule, those seconds add up to significant time savings. The quick cycle time helps maintain workflow efficiency without sacrificing the accuracy your customers expect.

Precision Balancing Accuracy

The NTB-1200 delivers accuracy of +/-1 gram for standard passenger vehicle balancing. For heavy duty applications where ultra-precise readings are less critical, the machine also offers a +/-10 gram mode. This dual accuracy capability lets you match precision levels to the job at hand.

Standard and Metric Display

Switch between standard (imperial) and metric measurement displays depending on your preference or the specifications you are working with. This flexibility is particularly useful for shops that work on imported vehicles or reference manufacturer specifications in metric units.

Protective Wheel Cover Included

The NTB-1200 comes with a protective cover that shields both the operator and the surrounding work area during the spin cycle. This is especially important when balancing large, heavy truck wheels where debris or a loose wheel weight could cause injury or damage.

Triumph NTB-1200 Shipping and Delivery

LTL Freight Delivery

The NTB-1200 ships via LTL common carrier freight on a 48 foot semi truck. Free shipping is included to the lower 48 United States. Delivery times typically range from 3 to 14 days depending on your location. When your order ships, you will receive an email with the carrier information and tracking number.

Lift Gate Service Included

Your shipment includes lift gate service. The truck driver will lower the wheel balancer to the ground at the back of the truck. Please note that the driver does not move the equipment inside your shop or garage, and does not assemble the equipment. The driver only operates the truck. You will need equipment or assistance to move the 720 lb crated unit from the delivery point to your shop.

Delivery Appointment Required

You are responsible for calling the freight company to schedule a delivery appointment. Since we do not know your schedule, we cannot make this appointment for you. Alternatively, we can ship to the carrier's nearest freight terminal for you to pick up with a trailer or moving van if that works better for your situation.

Shipping Exclusions

Free shipping does not include delivery to government secure locations, state and national parks, construction sites, islands, Alaska, or Hawaii. Contact us for a shipping quote if your delivery falls into one of these categories.

Triumph NTB-1200 FAQ

What is the largest wheel the NTB-1200 can balance?

The Triumph NTB-1200 can handle wheels up to 28 in diameter with a maximum tire diameter of 51 in. The rim width range extends from 1.5 in to 20 in, and the maximum wheel weight capacity is 350 lb. This makes it suitable for most commercial truck wheels, large SUV wheels, and RV applications.

Can I use this balancer for regular passenger car wheels?

Yes. The NTB-1200 handles wheels as small as 10 in diameter, which covers standard passenger cars, sedans, and compact vehicles. The +/-1 gram accuracy setting provides precision balancing for passenger vehicles, while the heavy duty capacity means you can service both car and truck customers with one machine.

What does "automatic distance and diameter measuring" mean?

The NTB-1200 automatically measures the distance from the machine to the wheel and the wheel diameter. This eliminates the need to manually input these parameters, which speeds up your workflow and reduces the chance of data entry errors. You still need to input rim width manually.

What power supply do I need for the NTB-1200?

The NTB-1200 runs on standard 110V power with a 1/3 HP motor. A standard shop outlet will work, though a dedicated circuit is recommended to prevent interference from other equipment. No special electrical modifications are required.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping times range from 3 to 14 days depending on your location. The unit ships via LTL freight, which is slower than small package shipping. You will receive tracking information via email once your order ships, and you are responsible for scheduling a delivery appointment with the freight carrier.

Will the driver bring the balancer into my shop?

No. The freight driver will lower the crated unit to the ground using the lift gate, but will not move it inside your shop or assist with uncrating or assembly. At 720 lb shipping weight, you will need a forklift, pallet jack, or several helpers to move the unit from the delivery point to its final location.

What is not covered under the warranty?

The 1 year parts warranty does not cover labor costs for repairs. For wheel balancers specifically, the following items are excluded from warranty coverage: quick release wing nut, wheel hood cover, top tray cover, and wheel weight hammer. Parts coverage includes free shipping via ground service.

How accurate is the NTB-1200?

The NTB-1200 offers dual accuracy modes: +/-1 gram for precision passenger vehicle balancing, and +/-10 gram for heavy duty applications where ultra-precise readings are less critical. The 8 second cycle time delivers these readings quickly without sacrificing accuracy.

Does the NTB-1200 come with cones and adapters?

The NTB-1200 includes a standard cone set for wheel mounting. For specialized applications or unusual wheel configurations, additional adapters may be needed and can be purchased separately. Contact us to discuss your specific wheel mounting requirements.

Can I pick up the balancer instead of having it delivered?

Yes. If you prefer, we can ship the NTB-1200 to the carrier's nearest freight terminal for you to pick up with a trailer or moving van. This option works well if you have the means to transport the 720 lb crated unit yourself and want to avoid scheduling a delivery appointment.
