Triumph NT-9 9,000 lb Two-Post Lift for Cars, Trucks, and SUVs
The Triumph NT-9 is a 9,000 lb capacity two-post floor plate lift designed to deliver professional-grade performance at a price that works for home garages and startup shops alike. With a 72 in lifting height, 4.5 in lowered pad height, and 40-second rise time, this lift handles everything from compact cars to full-size trucks with ease. The floor plate design keeps cables and hydraulic hoses protected while allowing installation in spaces with ceiling heights as low as 111 in. Powered by a 3 HP motor on 220V single-phase power, the NT-9 comes complete with truck adapters and dual-point lock release, backed by Triumph's 1-year parts warranty.
Triumph NT-9: Who It's For
- Home Garage Enthusiasts: The NT-9's floor plate design and 111 in overall height make it one of the most accessible two-post lifts for residential garages with standard ceiling heights. Perfect for DIY maintenance, restorations, and weekend projects.
- Startup Auto Shops: If you're launching a repair business and need reliable lifting capacity without a massive equipment budget, the NT-9 delivers the features you need at a price that keeps your startup costs manageable.
- Truck and SUV Owners: With 9,000 lb capacity and included truck adapters, this lift handles full-size pickups, SUVs, and crossovers that smaller lifts can't accommodate.
- Budget-Conscious Buyers: Triumph designed the NT-9 to compete on value. You get professional features like three-stage arms and dual-point lock release at a lower price point than comparable lifts from premium brands.
- Low-Ceiling Installations: The 111 in overall height and floor plate design make this lift viable for spaces where overhead clearance is limited, including many residential garages and older commercial buildings.
Triumph NT-9 Features
Three-Stage Front Arms
The NT-9's telescoping three-stage front arms provide exceptional reach and flexibility when positioning lift points. This design accommodates everything from compact cars with narrow wheelbases to full-size trucks with wide stance, letting you center the vehicle properly on the lift and reach manufacturer-recommended lift points without compromise.
Floor Plate Design
Unlike exposed-cable two-post lifts, the NT-9 routes its cables and hydraulic hoses beneath protective floor plates. This keeps components safe from damage, reduces tripping hazards in your workspace, and allows the lift to achieve a lower overall height of just 111 in. The design is ideal for installations where ceiling clearance is a concern.
9,000 lb Lifting Capacity
The NT-9's 9,000 lb capacity handles the vast majority of vehicles you'll encounter in a home garage or general service shop. From lightweight compacts to heavy-duty pickups, you have the lifting power needed for brake jobs, suspension work, exhaust repairs, and transmission service without worrying about capacity limits.
Dual-Point Lock Release
The dual-point lock release system requires engagement at both columns before the lift will lower, adding an important layer of safety to your shop operations. This prevents accidental lowering if only one side is released and gives you confidence when working beneath raised vehicles.
72 Inch Rise Height
With 72 in of rise from the lowered position, the NT-9 brings vehicles to a comfortable working height for most technicians. Whether you're standing or using a creeper, you'll have the clearance needed to access undercarriage components without straining your back or neck.
Included Truck Adapters
The NT-9 comes standard with truck adapters, saving you the cost and hassle of purchasing them separately. These stackable adapters provide the additional height needed to reach lift points on trucks and body-on-frame SUVs with higher ground clearance.

Triumph NT-9 Shipping and Delivery
LTL Freight Delivery
Your Triumph NT-9 ships via LTL common carrier freight on a 48-foot semi truck. After your order ships, we'll email you the carrier information and tracking number. Freight shipping typically takes 3-14 days depending on your location, so please be patient. You are responsible for calling the freight company to schedule a delivery appointment that works with your schedule.
Unloading Requirements
You are responsible for unloading the lift from the truck. The driver does not unload it for you, and liftgate service is not available for auto lifts. You cannot unload an auto lift by hand. You must have machinery capable of lifting 1,303 lbs, such as a forklift, bobcat, tractor, tow truck, or backhoe. If you cannot unload from a truck at your location, we can ship to the carrier's nearest freight terminal for you to pick up with a trailer or moving van.
Shipping Coverage and Exclusions
Free shipping covers delivery to commercial or residential addresses in the lower 48 United States. Free shipping does not include government secure locations, state and national parks, construction sites, islands, Alaska, or Hawaii. When your lift arrives, inspect it carefully before signing the bill of lading. Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt to protect your claim rights.

Triumph NT-9 FAQ
What vehicles can the Triumph NT-9 lift?
The NT-9's 9,000 lb capacity handles most passenger vehicles including sedans, coupes, hatchbacks, crossovers, SUVs, and full-size pickup trucks. With a 96 in drive-thru width at tire level and 106 in width between posts at mirror height, it accommodates vehicles up to approximately 80 in wide. The included truck adapters extend reach for trucks and body-on-frame SUVs with higher ground clearance.
Will the NT-9 fit in my garage with a 10-foot ceiling?
Yes, in most cases. The NT-9 has an overall height of 111 in (9 ft 3 in), so it physically fits under a 10-foot ceiling with about 9 in of clearance above the columns. However, you should also consider the height of your tallest vehicle when raised. The lift provides 72 in of rise from a 4.5 in lowered position. Measure your specific ceiling height and vehicle height to confirm adequate clearance.
What power requirements does the Triumph NT-9 need?
The NT-9 requires 220V single-phase power to operate its 3 HP motor. Most residential garages can accommodate 220V service, as this is the same voltage used for electric dryers, water heaters, and other large appliances. We recommend installing a dedicated circuit for the lift. Consult a licensed electrician if you need to add 220V service to your garage.
What are the concrete requirements for installing the NT-9?
The NT-9 requires a concrete floor with a minimum compressive strength of 3,000 PSI. The concrete should be at least 4 in thick, level, and free of significant cracks or deterioration in the areas where the base plates will mount. Each base plate measures 19 x 17 in. If you're pouring new concrete, allow it to cure for at least 28 days before installing the lift.
How do I unload the lift when it arrives?
You need machinery capable of lifting the full shipping weight of 1,303 lbs. A forklift, bobcat, tractor with loader, tow truck, or backhoe all work well. The truck driver does not assist with unloading, and liftgate service is not available for auto lifts. If you don't have access to unloading equipment at your location, we can ship to the carrier's nearest freight terminal where you can pick it up with a trailer or moving van.
What does the warranty cover on the Triumph NT-9?
The NT-9 comes with a 1-year parts warranty. If a component fails, call us to troubleshoot over the phone. We'll ship replacement parts to you free of charge, including free ground shipping. The warranty does not cover labor costs for installing replacement parts. Cylinders have a 30-day full warranty, with seal kits provided after that period. Rubber lifting pads are not covered.
Is the NT-9 a symmetric or asymmetric lift?
The NT-9 is a symmetric two-post lift. Both columns and arm assemblies are identical, and vehicles are centered between the posts. This design works well for a wide range of vehicles and provides balanced lifting for trucks and SUVs. Symmetric lifts are generally preferred for home garages and general service applications.
How long does it take to raise a vehicle on the NT-9?
The NT-9 raises vehicles to full height in approximately 40 seconds. The 3 HP motor provides consistent lifting speed across the full range of vehicle weights up to the 9,000 lb capacity.
What oil drain should I pair with the NT-9?
For home garages or shops doing occasional oil changes, the NOD-9 9-gallon oil drain offers 27 to 68 in adjustable height, a 17 in diameter funnel, and swivel casters for easy positioning. For busier shops doing multiple oil changes daily, the NOD-18 18-gallon model includes a manual pump for evacuating the tank and adjusts from 37 to 76 in in height.
Does free shipping cover residential addresses?
Yes, free shipping covers delivery to both commercial and residential addresses in the lower 48 United States. However, free shipping excludes government secure locations, state and national parks, construction sites, islands, Alaska, and Hawaii. Remember that you're responsible for unloading the lift from the truck regardless of delivery location.
