Stratus 2 Post Lift - 10,000 lb Asymmetric & Symmetric Vehicle Lift

You've got a bay to fill and a decision to make. The Stratus 2 Post Pro (model SAE-C10P) is a clear floor, direct drive 2 post car lift built around a single question: can it handle whatever rolls into your shop without you fighting the equipment? With a 10,000 lb capacity and both symmetric and asymmetric mounting in one unit, it lets you swing a door open on a sedan or load a longer pickup the way that bay actually demands. One lift, two setups, no compromise.

The clear floor design keeps the bay open. Nothing crosses the ground between the columns, so you roll your jack, your drain, and your transmission stand wherever you need them. The direct drive system runs both carriages off the power unit without a torsion bar overhead getting in your way, and the single point manual release drops both columns together so you're not walking around the lift to disengage locks one side at a time.

This is a two post vehicle lift sized for real work. Stratus auto lifts are built for shop owners and serious home garages that want the function of a commercial unit, and this Stratus car lift backs that with structural steel through the columns, carriages, and arms. When you're shopping 2 post car lifts for sale, the spread between methods, the arm reach, and the proven load testing are what separate a lift you trust from one you babysit.

What's Included

Here's exactly what shows up when this two post vehicle lift arrives. No guessing at the accessories.

  • 4 screw-up rubber pads, 50mm (4") peg
  • 8 truck adapters (4 at 2 3/4", 4 at 4")
  • 2 two-stage lifting arms
  • 2 three-stage lifting arms
  • 2 top limiter switches
  • Single point manual release system
  • Direct drive power unit
  • Installation, operation & maintenance manual

Cradle pads and a tripod jack stand are available as optional accessories purchased separately. Need replacement pads or parts down the road? We keep this line supported, so you're not chasing a one-time import when a wear item gives out.

Installation & Setup

This lift goes down on concrete, and the slab spec is not optional. You need 3000 PSI concrete at a minimum 6" thickness, extending at least 4 feet out from the anchor points. New pours have to cure a full 20 days before you anchor into them. Skip that and you're risking the lift, the vehicle, and whoever's standing near it.

The floor should be level. Minor slope can be shimmed during install, but a major slope change throws off level lifting, so check before you commit a location. Electrical hookup runs 220V single phase on a 30A breaker, and that connection has to be made by a licensed electrician. The power unit takes about 2.5 gallons of hydraulic oil (AW32 for cold weather, AW46 for warm), and the cylinders need bleeding by cycling the lift up and down a few times after fill.

Installation should be handled by a skilled technician. The unit ships as one base unit in a steel frame plus a power unit in a carton, and both the overhead beam and the cable routing differ between symmetric and asymmetric setups, so follow the manual for your chosen method.

Applications

This 10000 lb 2 post car lift earns its footprint across a range of shop types. Here's who it's built for.

Independent Repair Shops

The asymmetric setup lets techs open doors freely for interior and underhood work, while the symmetric option handles heavier, longer vehicles. One bay covers both jobs.

Tire & Brake Service

Clear floor and fast ~50 second rise time keep wheel-off jobs moving. No torsion bar overhead means full access from every angle.

Serious Home Garages

If you wrench on your own fleet or project cars, this asymmetrical car lift gives you commercial-grade capacity and the clearance to work standing up.

Fleet & Light Truck Work

The included truck adapters at two heights and 10,000 lb capacity cover everything from sedans to light trucks and SUVs without swapping equipment.

Shipping

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between symmetric and asymmetric installation on this lift?

The same unit does both. Symmetric centers the vehicle between the columns with balanced arms and gives you 107 1/4" of drive-thru clearance. Asymmetric rotates the columns and uses longer front arms so doors open freely for interior work, with 103 15/16" drive-thru. You choose the method during install based on the work you do most.

What concrete do I need to install this 2 post car lift?

You need 3000 PSI concrete at a minimum 6" thickness, extending at least 4 feet from each anchor point. New concrete must cure for at least 20 days before anchoring. A level floor is best, and minor slope can be shimmed during installation.

What kind of electrical hookup does it require?

The 3 HP power unit runs on 220V single phase, 60 Hz, on a 30A breaker. A licensed electrician must make the connection. On first power-up, the test cable gets replaced with a proper gauge wire and motor starts need at least 2 seconds between them.

How much weight can it lift and how fast?

It's rated at 10,000 lbs and rises to full height in about 50 seconds, lowering in about 40. Every unit is proofed with a dynamic test at 115% of rated capacity and a static test at 150%.

What accessories come with the lift?

You get 4 screw-up rubber pads (50mm peg), 8 truck adapters in two heights (2 3/4" and 4"), two 2-stage arms, two 3-stage arms, two top limiter switches, and the manual. Cradle pads and a tripod jack stand are optional and sold separately.

What vehicles will this handle?

Anything up to 10,000 lbs, from sedans to light trucks and SUVs. The included truck adapters at two heights extend the lifting pads for taller frames, and the dual install methods let you match arm geometry to the vehicle's wheelbase and door layout.

Does the clear floor design really have nothing crossing the bay?

Correct. The overhead clear floor design routes everything up top instead of through a base plate, so the floor between the columns stays open for jacks, drains, and stands. Inside-column clearance is 118 1/8" symmetric.

How does the single point manual release work?

One lever on the main column releases the safety locks in both columns at the same time. You don't walk around the lift disengaging each side separately. The release cable is adjustable so both columns drop together evenly.

How much hydraulic oil does it need?

About 2.5 gallons. Use AW32 in cold weather and AW46 in warm weather. After filling, cycle the lift up and down a few times to bleed trapped air from the cylinders.

What's the warranty and what about replacement parts?

Coverage is 5 years structural, 3 years hydraulic, and 2 years electrical. We keep this line supported with replacement parts, so wear items like pads and adapters are easy to source instead of being a one-time import.
