Rotary X14 Scissor Lift - 14,000 lb ALI Certified Rotary Alignment Lift
Most shops juggle a mix of compact cars, full-size pickups, and the occasional delivery van. What you don't want is a lift that handles one end of the spectrum but chokes on the other. The Rotary X14 is a 14,000 lb rotary scissor lift with a wheelbase range from 85-1/2 in all the way up to 198 in, so you're servicing a Civic and a Class 3 commercial truck on the same piece of equipment without skipping a beat. Alignment conversion kits make this a true scissor lift for wheel alignment work, giving you the flexibility to expand into alignment services on a platform you already own.
Where the X14 really separates itself is access. Traditional four-post lifts box you in between columns. This rotary car lift uses an open scissor design with true vertical lifting, which means the front, rear, and sides stay clear for walk-through access. You're moving between bays, grabbing tools, and getting under vehicles without climbing over crossmembers or ducking under obstructions. That open layout also means a smaller footprint, fitting into a 14 ft x 27 ft bay that many four-post lifts can't touch.
Safety is mechanical, not just electronic. Fourteen locking positions engage automatically as the lift rises, and a pneumatic release controlled from the console lets you lower it. Automatic wheel chocks deploy when the platforms go up. Self-lubricating bushings at every pivot point keep maintenance low and service life high. The hydraulic system is simple by design, maintaining level platforms throughout the lifting cycle without complicated equalization circuits.
Garage Supply Guys carries this rotary auto lift with direct phone support for spec questions, bay layout planning, and order tracking. When you need answers about a wheel alignment scissor lift, you get a person who knows the product, not a voicemail box.

Installation and Setup
The X14 offers two mounting configurations: surface mount and recessed. Surface mount sits on top of your existing slab with the lowered runway height at 10-3/4 in above floor level. Recessed installation sets the runways flush with the shop floor when lowered, which eliminates the step-up and makes drive-on access easier for low-profile vehicles and sports cars. Your bay layout and vehicle mix will determine which option makes the most sense.
Either way, you'll need a concrete floor capable of supporting the lift and vehicle loads. The base plate leveling system that comes with the X14 simplifies the installation process by allowing you to fine-tune the platform alignment during setup. The recommended bay size is 14 ft x 27 ft, so measure your space and plan for adequate clearance around the lift perimeter.
Electrical requires a dedicated 230V single-phase circuit for the 5 HP motor. Compressed air supply needs to deliver between 85 and 110 PSI for the pneumatic lock release and automatic wheel chock systems. A certified electrician and a Rotary Authorized Installer are recommended for the electrical hookup and lift installation, especially if you want to qualify for the extended warranty coverage.
Applications
Oil changes, brake jobs, exhaust work, and suspension service on passenger cars through light commercial trucks. The open scissor design gives you full undercarriage access without column obstructions.
Add alignment accessories to turn this into a scissor alignment lift that handles two-wheel and four-wheel alignments. The wide wheelbase range covers compact cars through full-size pickups on one rack.
Quick tire rotations, mount-and-balance work, and TPMS service. The fast 77-second rise time keeps your bay turning vehicles without long waits between lifts.
Service mixed fleets of sedans, vans, and light-duty trucks on a single rotary vehicle lift. The versatile wheelbase range means one lift covers your entire fleet roster.
Handle new car prep, scheduled maintenance, and warranty repairs across your full vehicle lineup. The recessed mount option creates a clean bay aesthetic that matches a dealership environment.
The open front-to-rear walk-through layout lets techs move between adjacent bays and access toolboxes without going around the lift. Saves steps and keeps workflows efficient when you're running multiple bays.

Warranty
The Rotary X14 is backed by VSG's Limited Express Warranty for surface lifts rated at 30,000 lbs and under. Standard warranty coverage includes 5 years on structural components (columns, runways, yokes, carriages) and 1 year on functional parts (power units, cylinders, latches, adapters, controls) with 1 year of labor coverage.
When installed by a Rotary Authorized Installer (RAI) and registered with the factory, functional parts coverage extends to 2 years with 1 year of labor warranty. The warranty applies to the original owner only and is non-transferable.
This warranty does not cover normal wear items (cables, sheaves, adapter pads), damage from improper handling or installation, unauthorized repairs, or paint defects caused by external influences. Optional extended functional parts warranties are available at the point of sale or within the first year of installation.
The warranty period begins when the product is invoiced to an authorized distributor/purchaser. This date can be adjusted by submitting the Warranty Activation Form with proof of the installation date, within 6 months of the original ship date.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between surface mount and recessed mount on the X14?
Surface mount installs on top of your existing concrete floor, with the lowered runway height sitting at 10-3/4 in above floor level. Recessed mount positions the runways flush with the shop floor when lowered, eliminating the step-up for drive-on access. Recessed is the better choice if you regularly service low-profile vehicles, sports cars, or vehicles with aero kits that would scrape on a surface-mounted approach ramp. Both options share the same 14,000 lb capacity and performance specs.
Can the X14 be used for wheel alignments?
Yes. The X14 supports alignment conversion with compatible accessories, including turn plates, slip plates, and rolling jacks. With alignment equipment installed, you get a four-wheel alignment wheelbase range from 85-1/2 in to 193 in and a two-wheel alignment range up to 195 in. If you need alignment capability out of the box, ask about the XA14, which comes standard with rolling jacks and turning radius gauges.
What are the electrical and air requirements for the X14?
The X14 runs on a 230V single-phase circuit with a 5 HP motor. You'll need a dedicated circuit for the power unit. Compressed air supply must deliver between 85 and 110 PSI for the pneumatic lock release and automatic wheel chock systems. All electrical work should be performed by a certified electrician to comply with NEC and local codes.
How long does it take the X14 to reach full rise?
Full rise takes 77 seconds at rated load, and lowering takes 47 seconds. That's fast enough to keep a busy bay moving without long waits between vehicles. The simple hydraulic system maintains level platforms throughout the full lifting cycle, so you're not dealing with uneven runways during the rise or descent.
Does professional installation affect the warranty?
Yes. The standard warranty gives you 5 years structural, 1 year functional parts, and 1 year labor. When the X14 is installed by a Rotary Authorized Installer (RAI) and registered with the factory, functional parts coverage extends to 2 years. The warranty applies to the original owner only and begins from the invoice date, though it can be adjusted by submitting a Warranty Activation Form within 6 months of the original ship date.
