Rotary RLP77 Low Profile Scissor Lift - 7,700 lb Double Section Rotary Scissor Lift

Not every bay in your shop has the footprint for a full-size two-post or four-post lift. Maybe you're squeezing a quick-service lane into a tight corner, or you need a dedicated tire and brake station that doesn't eat up floor space. The Rotary RLP77 is a low profile scissor lift that sits just 4-1/8 in off the floor when collapsed, letting vehicles drive right over the platforms without ramps. When you need to get under a car, it rises to a full 78-5/8 in in just 39 seconds. That's fast enough to keep a lube bay turning without dead time between vehicles.

What separates this rotary car lift from the rest of the low-rise market is the patented Synchrodrive Equalization system. Most scissor lifts for automotive use rely on cables or chains to keep both platforms level. If one side hits an obstruction, you've got an imbalance problem. The RLP77's hydraulic Synchrodrive prevents out-of-level situations mechanically, with no electronics or sensors that can fail. Fewer moving parts, fewer hoses, fewer things to break. The entire control system fits inside a compact console that takes up less than two square feet of floor space.

The double scissor design uses composite high-strength steel construction with single-piece diamond plate powder-coated platforms. Twenty-four lock positions with Rotary's negative rake tooth design give you precise height stops throughout the full travel range. Hinged ramps fold 65 degrees down and away when you need access for wheel and brake work, and 13 in underhung ramps with polymer rollers make vehicle spotting quick and smooth. Outriggers on either side extend the pickup footprint for wider-wheelbase vehicles. This rotary auto lift is ALI Gold Certified, so it meets the strictest safety validation in the industry.

Garage Supply Guys carries a full lineup of rotary lifts for sale, and the RLP77 ships with direct phone support for installation questions, bay planning, and order tracking. If you're shopping for a low profile scissor lift for sale that fits tight spaces without cutting corners on capability, this is the one.

Installation and Setup

The RLP77 supports two installation methods: surface mount and flush (recessed) mount. Surface mount sits the lift on top of your existing concrete slab, keeping installation straightforward. Flush mount recesses the unit into the floor so the platforms sit level with the shop surface when lowered, giving you a clean, obstruction-free bay that vehicles can drive over without ramps.

Electrical requirements call for a dedicated 230V single-phase circuit for the 4 HP motor. Shop air supply needs to deliver between 85 and 110 PSI for the pneumatic lock release. The compact control console includes the filter, regulator, and lubricator assembly housed inside the cabinet, and 12 ft of standard hose gives you flexibility on where you place the console relative to the lift.

Professional installation by a Rotary Authorized Installer is recommended, especially for flush-mount configurations that require floor cutting and preparation. RAI installation also qualifies you for extended warranty coverage on functional parts.

Applications

Quick Lube and Express Service Bays

Oil changes, fluid top-offs, and filter swaps move faster when the lift is up in 39 seconds and one tech can spot the vehicle without help. A low profile double scissor lift keeps your express lane running at full speed.

Tire and Brake Service

Hinged ramps fold 65 degrees out of the way, giving you clear access to wheels and brake components. Stackable lifting pads accommodate everything from low-profile sedans to small trucks.

Space-Constrained Shops

At just 85 in x 85 in, this scissor lift for automotive service fits into bays where a two-post or four-post lift simply won't work. Flush mounting keeps the floor clean when the lift isn't in use.

Dealership Service Departments

Fast vehicle throughput on warranty work and scheduled maintenance. The drive-over design means one person can position the vehicle without a spotter, freeing up your team for billable work.

Multi-Bay General Repair

Add a dedicated scissor station alongside your two-post lifts to handle overflow work, inspections, or underbody repairs without pulling a tech off a more complex job on a full-size rotary vehicle lift.

Fleet Quick-Service Operations

Process fleet vehicles through routine maintenance in bulk. The compact footprint and fast cycle time let you set up a high-throughput lane without dedicating a full-size bay to the task.

Warranty

The Rotary RLP77 is backed by VSG's Limited Express Warranty for surface lifts rated at 30,000 lbs and under. Standard warranty coverage includes 5 years on structural components (columns, runways, yokes, carriages) and 1 year on functional parts (power units, cylinders, latches, adapters, controls) with 1 year of labor coverage.

When installed by a Rotary Authorized Installer (RAI) and registered with the factory, functional parts coverage extends to 2 years with 1 year of labor warranty. The warranty applies to the original owner only and is non-transferable.

This warranty does not cover normal wear items (cables, sheaves, adapter pads), damage from improper handling or installation, unauthorized repairs, or paint defects caused by external influences. Optional extended functional parts warranties are available at the point of sale or within the first year of installation.

The warranty period begins when the product is invoiced to an authorized distributor/purchaser. This date can be adjusted by submitting the Warranty Activation Form with proof of the installation date, within 6 months of the original ship date.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between surface mount and flush mount installation?

Surface mount sits the RLP77 on top of your existing concrete floor. The lowered platforms rest at 4-1/8 in above floor level, and integrated folding ramps let vehicles drive on. Flush mount recesses the lift into the floor so the platforms sit level with the shop surface when lowered, creating a clean bay that vehicles drive over without ramps. Flush mount requires floor cutting and preparation during installation but gives you a completely obstruction-free bay when the lift isn't in use.

What does the Synchrodrive Equalization system do?

Synchrodrive is Rotary's patented hydraulic system that keeps both platforms level during lifting and lowering. If one platform hits an obstruction, the system prevents an out-of-level condition mechanically rather than relying on electronics or sensors. This eliminates a common failure point found in competing scissor lifts and means fewer parts to maintain over the life of the lift.

Can the RLP77 handle SUVs and trucks, or just cars?

The RLP77 handles any vehicle within its 7,700 lb rated capacity. Stackable lifting pads let you adjust the pick-up points for different vehicle types, from low-profile cars to SUVs and small trucks. Outriggers on either side extend the pickup footprint for wider-wheelbase vehicles that don't center neatly on the standard platforms.

What electrical and air connections does the RLP77 need?

You'll need a dedicated 230V single-phase circuit for the 4 HP motor, plus a compressed air supply delivering between 85 and 110 PSI for the pneumatic lock release. The control console includes a filter, regulator, and lubricator assembly built into the cabinet, and 12 ft of standard hose is included for flexible console placement relative to the lift.

Does professional installation affect the warranty?

Yes. Standard warranty provides 5 years on structural components and 1 year on functional parts with 1 year of labor. When the RLP77 is installed by a Rotary Authorized Installer and registered with the factory, functional parts coverage extends to 2 years. The warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original owner only.
