Challenger RJ4.5 Rolling Jack - 4,500 lb Hand Pump Rolling Jack for CL4P9
Your CL4P9 four-post lift handles storage and undercarriage access just fine. But the moment you need to pull a wheel for brakes, tire rotation, or suspension work, you're stuck wrestling with a floor jack and jack stands on the runways. The Challenger RJ4.5 rolling jack eliminates that bottleneck. It rolls along your lift's built-in accessory rails, positions under each axle, and gives you 4,500 lb of hand pump lifting capacity for full free-wheel access.
No air compressor required. No power hookups. The manual hand pump gives you precise, controlled lifting with a simple pump handle, and the mechanical lock holds the load at height so you can work underneath with confidence. The low-profile 3-3/8 inch drive-over height keeps the jack out of the way when you're loading vehicles, and the 16-1/4 inch rise height gives you plenty of room to clear wheels off the runways. Two 3-inch stack pads come included for trucks and SUVs that need extra reach.
The RJ4.5 is sold individually and fits the CL4P9S, CL4P9X, and CL4P9W four-post lifts. Most shops run a pair for front and rear axle access. If you're not sure which rolling jack fits your specific lift model and serial number, give us a call before ordering.

Installation & Setup
The RJ4.5 mounts directly onto your CL4P9 series four-post lift's built-in runway rail system. Place the jack assembly on the lift rack rails, adjust the side members until the jack is centered between the rails, then tighten the four hex bolts (two per side) to lock it in place. No air lines, no electrical connections.
Before putting the jack into service, cycle it through a couple of raises and lowers to get familiar with the pump handle and lock release. When raising a vehicle, always lift at the manufacturer's recommended pick-up points and make sure vehicle weight is evenly distributed on each lift pad. Roll the jack forward before driving a vehicle on or off the lift.
Applications
Lift individual axles off the runways for full access to rotors, calipers, and pads without removing the vehicle from your four-post lift.
Roll into position, pump the handle, and spin wheels on and off. A pair of RJ4.5 jacks turns your CL4P9 into a complete tire service station.
Unload struts, shocks, and control arms by lifting the axle off the runway. The mechanical lock holds the load so you can work hands-free.
The CL4P9 series lifts are popular in home garages and light-duty commercial shops. The RJ4.5 adds wheel-off capability without needing shop air.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the Challenger RJ4.5 fit my CL4P7 four-post lift?
The RJ4.5 is designed for the CL4P9 series four-post lifts, which includes the CL4P9S, CL4P9X, and CL4P9W models. Some retailers list CL4P7 compatibility as well. To confirm fitment for your specific lift, call us at (855) 498-2147 with your full model and serial number before ordering.
Does the RJ4.5 require an air compressor or airline kit?
No. The RJ4.5 uses a manual hand pump, so there's no need for compressed air, an airline kit, or any electrical connection. You raise the jack by pumping the handle, and lower it by turning the valve handle counterclockwise. This makes it a straightforward add-on for home garages and shops without centralized air.
How many RJ4.5 rolling jacks do I need?
The RJ4.5 is sold as a single unit. Most setups use two jacks, one per axle, for full free-wheel access at both ends of the vehicle. One jack is enough if you only need to service one axle at a time, but a pair maximizes your efficiency on brake and tire work.
What is the lifting range of the RJ4.5?
The RJ4.5 has a drive-over height of 3-3/8 inches and a rise height of 16-1/4 inches. Two 3-inch stack pads are included to extend your reach for trucks and SUVs with higher factory lift points. The low drive-over clearance keeps the jack out of the way when loading and unloading vehicles.
How do I install the RJ4.5 on my four-post lift?
Place the jack on your CL4P9 lift's runway rails, center it between the rails using the adjustable side members, and tighten the four included hex bolts (two per side). No drilling, welding, or air line routing is required. The entire process uses basic hand tools and takes a few minutes.
Does the RJ4.5 have a safety lock?
Yes. The RJ4.5 features a mechanical lock that engages at the raised position. Once you've lifted the axle to height, lower the jack onto the lock. To release, raise the jack slightly off the lock, hold the lock release handle open, then lower. The 4,500 lb rated capacity ensures safe handling of passenger vehicles and light trucks.
What maintenance does the RJ4.5 require?
Daily, inspect the jack and hydraulic system for damage, wear, and leaks. Annually, check the pump oil level by lowering the jack fully, removing the pump from the base, holding it vertical, and removing the breather plug. Oil should be at the top of the filler plug hole. Use AW32 10wt hydraulic oil, non-foaming, anti-rust.
Can I use this rolling jack on a scissor lift or two-post lift?
No. The RJ4.5 is designed exclusively for CL4P9 series four-post lifts with built-in accessory rails. It's not compatible with scissor lifts (which use the RJ7X), commercial four-post lifts like the 4P14 or 4015 series (which use the RJ7.5 or larger), or two-post lifts. Call us at (855) 498-2147 if you need help finding the right jack for your lift.
