Hofmann Geodyna 7800p brings a 19-inch touchscreen, automatic wheel data entry, and guided weight placement to busy, high-volume shops. The scanner detects rim diameter and spoke position, smartSonar measures rim width, and the machine selects the balancing mode, weight type, and placement. Technicians can still use the easyALU gauge arm or manual entry when the job calls for those input methods.
The EEWB753BEB configuration supports wheel assemblies up to 154 lb and 42 in in overall diameter. Its published 20 in maximum rim width is a physical fit limit, not an automatic-entry range. Automatic scanner and smartSonar entry covers 14-26 in rim diameters and 3-15.8 in rim widths; manual entry covers 8-32 in rim diameters and 1-20 in rim widths.
Plan the bay for 230V single-phase, 50/60 Hz power and a 4A current draw. The Power Clamp is electromechanical, and the base machine has no integrated wheel lift or pneumatic utility connection, so shop air is not required unless the optional pneumatic BW2015 wheel lift is added.

Touchscreen-Led Balancing Workflow
A 19-inch touchscreen sits above the wheel guard to keep readings and guided steps visible. Touch controls also support Stop in Position, which rotates the wheel to the indicated correction location.
Automatic Data Entry with Manual Flexibility
The scanner and smartSonar acquire rim diameter, width, and spoke information while the machine selects the balancing mode, weight type, and position. Automatic entry covers 14-26 in rim diameters and 3-15.8 in rim widths; the easyALU gauge arm and manual entry remain available for other supported jobs.
Automatic Spoke Detection and Split Weights
A laser scanner detects the number and position of rim spokes. Split Weight Mode divides the correction and guides concealed placement behind spokes for alloy-wheel work.
easyWeight Laser Guidance and Rim Lighting
easyWeight projects the correction location onto the rim, while LED rim lighting improves visibility for cleaning and weight placement.
Electromechanical Power Clamp
The Power Clamp secures the wheel with an electromechanical clamping device and constant force. This base configuration does not use a pneumatic clamp.
QuickBAL and Stop in Position
QuickBAL adjusts the number of revolutions to the wheel, and Stop in Position rotates the assembly to the weight-application point from a touchscreen command.
Customer-Ready Reports
Results can be saved as PDF files to a flash drive. Reports over a local network require additional hardware.

Installation Requirements
Provide 230V Single-Phase Power
The EEWB753BEB configuration requires 230V single-phase, 50/60 Hz power and draws 4A. The installation instructions call for an approved wall outlet. Confirm that the installation location and circuit meet applicable electrical requirements before delivery.
No Shop Air for the Base Machine
The Power Clamp is electromechanical, the base specification identifies no wheel lift, and the installation requirements specify mains power without a pneumatic connection. The optional BW2015 wheel lift is pneumatic, so adding it changes utility planning.
Set the Balancer Directly on a Stable Floor
The floor must be horizontal within 1 degree, even within 2 mm, able to support the balancer, and isolated from transmitted vibration. Position the machine directly on the floor without spacers. When these conditions are satisfied, Hofmann states that floor fastening is not required.
Plan Pallet Receiving and Final Setup
The balancer is supplied on a pallet, with a published gross shipping weight of 463 lb. Use a suitable pallet truck to move it to the work area, remove the pallet securing bolts, and avoid lifting or moving the machine by its main shaft or measuring unit.
