Crescent Hook Head, No Metal on the Rim

The patented crescent hook works with the pressure wheels to mount and demount without tire irons, and the adjustable gap control holds a set clearance between hook and rim surface. Zero-contact operation is the entire case for a leverless machine on alloy and chrome wheels.

Pressure Wheels That Move Together

Upper and lower pressure wheels ride an integrated center column and reposition as one. Set the position once and work, instead of chasing two arms around every wheel. That is where the cycle time advantage over conventional machines comes from.

Hydraulic Power, 6,614 lb Bead Breaker

Operating pressure of 13 to 16 MPa drives the bead breaker and positioning with none of the inconsistency of shop air. Run-flats and stiff sidewalls get smooth, controlled force rather than a pneumatic shove.

3.0 HP Servo Motor Under 70 dB

Stepless speed control through a pulse controller adjusts rotation on the fly: slow for low-profiles, fast for standard tires. The servo also runs quieter than conventional induction motors, keeping the machine under 70 dB.

Dual-Button Bead Blaster

The integrated blaster seats stubborn beads quickly, and firing it takes both buttons at once, so it cannot discharge by accident while someone's hands are near the bead.

Inflation to a Set Target

Dial in the target pressure, connect the hose, press start. The system inflates to spec and signals when it is done, which ends the watch-the-gauge step on every tire.

Best For & Vehicle Compatibility

Fit depends on your vehicles and your shop. Contact us with the year, make, and model, or your shop details, and we'll confirm compatibility before you order.

High-End Tire Shops and Dealerships
Shops handling premium alloy and chrome wheels buy leverless machines to remove pry bar risk entirely, and the hydraulic positioning gives repeatable precision on expensive fitments.
High-Volume Operations
Synced pressure wheels cut repositioning between steps and the variable-speed servo adapts to each tire type, which compounds into shorter cycles across a full day of wheels.
Shops Upgrading From Pneumatic Machines
Hydraulic drive removes air pressure fluctuation from the main functions; the compressor is only involved in bead blasting and inflation. Positioning stays stable no matter what the rest of the shop is pulling off the air line.

Installation Requirements

Space and Floor

The machine footprint is 62.6 x 49.2 in; allow at least 8 x 6.5 ft for tire lift arm clearance and operator movement. Level concrete required.

Utilities

220V / 60Hz single phase with a dedicated circuit recommended. Compressed air under 58 PSI feeds the bead blaster and inflation only; main functions are hydraulic.

Before First Use

Add hydraulic oil before powering on, verify all bolts are tight, and test each control before mounting the first tire.

Shipping & Delivery

Freight shipping within the lower 48 states; your delivery charge is shown at checkout, and terminal delivery to your carrier's local terminal is available as a checkout option.

You are responsible for unloading; a forklift or similar equipment is required, and a loading dock or liftgate may be required depending on the product. Check the delivery options on the product page before ordering.

Inspect your order before signing. Note concealed and visible damage or shortages on the Bill of Lading or delivery receipt at delivery.

Warranty

Fortisky lifts carry a 3 year structural warranty covering arms, columns, carriages, legs, overhead beams, tracks, cross rails, top rail beams, swivel pins, and uprights, and a 2 year limited warranty overall for the original purchaser. After the first 30 days, cylinder issues are resolved with a seal kit and installation instructions.

Wheel service equipment carries a 1 year warranty on all operating components.

Wear and maintenance items such as cables, chains, slider blocks, rubber pads, and pulleys are excluded, along with on-site labor and damage from improper installation, operation, or maintenance. Missing lift parts must be reported within 72 hours. Freight damage is not a warranty issue; document it at delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions

What rim sizes can the FTC-T8 handle?
10 to 30 in rims, tire widths to 15.7 in, and tire diameters to 49 in. That covers cars, SUVs, light trucks, and performance fitments.
What makes this machine leverless?
Traditional changers use metal pry bars that contact the rim. The FTC-T8's center-post system pairs a crescent hook head with synchronized pressure wheels, so no metal tool touches the wheel surface, and the adjustable gap control keeps a set clearance.
Why hydraulic instead of pneumatic?
Hydraulics deliver consistent, controllable power without compressor pressure fluctuations, which means smoother operation and more precise positioning of the hook head and pressure wheels.
What are the electrical requirements?
220V / 60Hz single phase, with a dedicated circuit recommended. Compressed air under 58 PSI is needed only for the bead blaster and inflation.
What maintenance does it need?
Check hydraulic oil regularly, clean the chuck with diesel, lubricate slides with molybdenum disulfide, blow dust out of the control box periodically, inspect cylinders for leaks, and keep the pressure wheel and center column bolts tight.
Does it work on run-flat tires?
Yes. The bead breaker's 6,614 lb of force handles stiff run-flat sidewalls, and the variable-speed servo motor lets you slow the rotation for precise control through the difficult sections.
