Pneumatic Tilt-Back Tower

The FTC-1670's column tilts back pneumatically with automatic push-pull locking, swinging the head clear of the wheel between cycles. Loading the next wheel does not mean threading it around the tower.

Helper Arm with Three-Point Pressing

The integrated helper arm holds the bead down in the drop center while the three-point push system guides the tire onto the rim. That is the hardware that makes low-profile and run-flat tires routine instead of a wrestling match.

Turbo Bead Blaster

A direct-connect turbo blast pipe delivers high-volume air at the bead to seat stubborn tires. Activation takes two buttons pressed together, so it cannot fire by accident.

Four-Jaw Turntable and Chrome Working Head

The four-jaw turntable self-centers wheels from the outside in through a linkage on a one-piece machined chuck base that resists deformation under clamping load. The working head is high-frequency quenched, hard chrome plated, and detachable for easy replacement.

2D Automatic Data Entry on the Balancer

The FWB-8823 captures rim parameters from a linear grating measurement scale: touch the stick to the rim, lower the guard, spin. No keying in dimensions between wheels.

Laser Weight Placement with Smart Positioning

After the spin, one button rotates the wheel to the balance point and locks it, and a laser projects the exact weight location on the rim with an LED fill light for dim corners of the shop. The balancer also self-calibrates, so routine accuracy checks do not need a service call.

Best For & Vehicle Compatibility

Fit depends on your vehicles and your shop. Contact us with the year, make, and model, or your shop details, and we'll confirm compatibility before you order.

Automotive Service Shops
Daily passenger car and light truck tire work is the design center. The tilt-back tower clears the wheel for loading, the helper arm handles low-profile and run-flat tires, and automatic data entry keeps the balancer from becoming the bottleneck.
Tire Dealers
The changer spans 14-26 in outside clamping with 5,510 lb of bead breaker force, and the balancer runs to 30 in rims and 165 lb wheels. That range covers the full spread of passenger and light truck wheels a dealer sees.
Home and Small Garages
Both machines run on 110V single phase shop power, and protective pads on the tire-contacting tools keep rims safe in less practiced hands. The balancer's automatic guard-down start keeps operation simple.

Installation Requirements

Electrical

The tire changer runs on 110V single phase or 220V three phase, with a 30 mA circuit breaker, 25A fuse, and proper grounding required. The balancer runs on 110V/60 Hz single phase.

Air Supply

The tire changer requires 116-145 PSI (8-10 bar) compressed air; a high-pressure water and oil filter is included. The balancer needs no air.

Space and Floor

Install both machines on a flat, level floor in a well-lit area, kept clear of oil, grease, debris, and bystanders.

Shipping & Delivery

Freight shipping within the lower 48 states; your delivery charge is shown at checkout, and terminal delivery to your carrier's local terminal is available as a checkout option.

You are responsible for unloading; a forklift or similar equipment is required, and a loading dock or liftgate may be required depending on the product. Check the delivery options on the product page before ordering.

Inspect your order before signing. Note concealed and visible damage or shortages on the Bill of Lading or delivery receipt at delivery.

Warranty

Fortisky lifts carry a 3 year structural warranty covering arms, columns, carriages, legs, overhead beams, tracks, cross rails, top rail beams, swivel pins, and uprights, and a 2 year limited warranty overall for the original purchaser. After the first 30 days, cylinder issues are resolved with a seal kit and installation instructions.

Wheel service equipment carries a 1 year warranty on all operating components.

Wear and maintenance items such as cables, chains, slider blocks, rubber pads, and pulleys are excluded, along with on-site labor and damage from improper installation, operation, or maintenance. Missing lift parts must be reported within 72 hours. Freight damage is not a warranty issue; document it at delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size wheels can this combo handle?
The tire changer clamps 14-26 in outside and 16-28 in inside with tires to 47 in diameter. The balancer takes rims to 30 in and wheels to 165 lb. Together that covers passenger cars, SUVs, and light trucks.
What electrical service do I need?
Both machines run on 110V single phase. The tire changer can alternatively be wired for 220V three phase, and requires a 30 mA circuit breaker, 25A fuse, and proper grounding.
Do I need an air compressor?
Yes, for the tire changer: 116-145 PSI compressed air. The balancer is electric only.
Can it handle low-profile and run-flat tires?
Yes. The helper arm and three-point pressing system hold the bead in the drop center during mounting, which is what those tires require.
How does the laser weight placement work?
After a spin the balancer displays the imbalance readings. Press one button and the wheel rotates to the balance point and locks; the laser then projects the exact weight location on the rim, with an LED fill light for low-light conditions.
