The Fortisky 1670-8823 pairs the FTC-1670 tilt-back tire changer with the FWB-8823 2D wheel balancer, a matched tire changer and wheel balancer combo for passenger car and light truck work. The changer clamps 14-26 in outside and 16-28 in inside with a 5,510 lb bead breaker, helper arm, and turbo bead blast; the balancer takes rims to 30 in and wheels to 165 lb at ±1 g.
The balancer is where this package saves time: a linear grating scale captures rim data automatically, a laser projects the weight location on the rim, and one button rotates the wheel to the balance point and locks it. No tape measure, no hunting for 12 o'clock.
Both machines run on 110V single phase, and the changer can alternatively be wired for 220V three phase. The changer needs 116-145 PSI shop air; the balancer is electric only.
Features
Pneumatic Tilt-Back Tower
The FTC-1670's column tilts back pneumatically with automatic push-pull locking, swinging the head clear of the wheel between cycles. Loading the next wheel does not mean threading it around the tower.
Helper Arm with Three-Point Pressing
The integrated helper arm holds the bead down in the drop center while the three-point push system guides the tire onto the rim. That is the hardware that makes low-profile and run-flat tires routine instead of a wrestling match.
Turbo Bead Blaster
A direct-connect turbo blast pipe delivers high-volume air at the bead to seat stubborn tires. Activation takes two buttons pressed together, so it cannot fire by accident.
Four-Jaw Turntable and Chrome Working Head
The four-jaw turntable self-centers wheels from the outside in through a linkage on a one-piece machined chuck base that resists deformation under clamping load. The working head is high-frequency quenched, hard chrome plated, and detachable for easy replacement.
2D Automatic Data Entry on the Balancer
The FWB-8823 captures rim parameters from a linear grating measurement scale: touch the stick to the rim, lower the guard, spin. No keying in dimensions between wheels.
Laser Weight Placement with Smart Positioning
After the spin, one button rotates the wheel to the balance point and locks it, and a laser projects the exact weight location on the rim with an LED fill light for dim corners of the shop. The balancer also self-calibrates, so routine accuracy checks do not need a service call.
