Dual Assist Arms on the Changer

Upper and lower roller arms hold the bead down in the drop center during mounting. Stiff run-flat and low-profile sidewalls stay where they are put instead of springing back over the working head.

186-Steel Bead Breaker Cylinder

The bead breaker cylinder is 186 steel, delivers 5,512 lb of force. That is a wear component.

Rim Protection at Every Contact Point

Plastic protection covers the bead breaker blade, turntable claws, and working head, and the head geometry is shaped for stiff sidewalls. The places the machine touches a wheel are the places Fortisky armored.

Hard Chrome Head on a One-Piece Chuck

The working head is hard chrome, high-frequency quenched for wear resistance, and the chuck is machined from one piece for rigidity. Neither should deform over years of clamping cycles.

Turbo Blast Bead Seater

The included turbo blast fires a burst of air to seat stubborn beads, the usual sticking point with wide and low-profile tires. The 2.0 HP motor and self-centering four-jaw turntable with synchronized clamping handle the rotation.

2D Data Entry with Laser Placement

Pull the FWB-8823's measuring ruler to the rim edge and a linear grating scale reads distance and diameter automatically; lowering the guard fills in width. After the 7 second spin the wheel auto-rotates to the balance point and a laser with LED fill light marks exactly where the weight goes. Manual parameter entry, and its typos, leave the process entirely.

ALU-S and Full Mode Set

STD, STA, ALU 1, ALU 2, and ALU-S modes cover steel wheels through custom alloys. ALU-S hides adhesive weights behind spokes on 3 to 12 spoke wheels, keeping show wheels clean at ±1g precision.

Installation Requirements

Space

The tire changer needs a 44 x 30 in footprint plus clearance for the swing arm; allow 20 in around the balancer. Both want a level, solid floor. Combined weight is approximately 736 lb.

Electrical

Both machines run on 110V single-phase, with separate circuits recommended. The tire changer is also available in 220V three-phase.

Compressed Air

The tire changer requires 116 to 145 PSI (8 to 10 bar) shop air for the bead breaker and turbo blast. The balancer needs no air.

Shipping & Delivery

Freight shipping within the lower 48 states; your delivery charge is shown at checkout, and terminal delivery to your carrier's local terminal is available as a checkout option.

You are responsible for unloading; a forklift or similar equipment is required, and a loading dock or liftgate may be required depending on the product. Check the delivery options on the product page before ordering.

Inspect your order before signing. Note concealed and visible damage or shortages on the Bill of Lading or delivery receipt at delivery.

Warranty

Fortisky lifts carry a 3 year structural warranty covering arms, columns, carriages, legs, overhead beams, tracks, cross rails, top rail beams, swivel pins, and uprights, and a 2 year limited warranty overall for the original purchaser. After the first 30 days, cylinder issues are resolved with a seal kit and installation instructions.

Wheel service equipment carries a 1 year warranty on all operating components.

Wear and maintenance items such as cables, chains, slider blocks, rubber pads, and pulleys are excluded, along with on-site labor and damage from improper installation, operation, or maintenance. Missing lift parts must be reported within 72 hours. Freight damage is not a warranty issue; document it at delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from the FWB-70B combo?
The FWB-8823 adds 2D automatic data entry (no manual parameter input), laser-guided weight placement with an LED fill light, smart auto-rotate to the balance point, and the ALU-S spoke-hiding mode. It also takes larger, heavier wheels: rims to 30 in and 165 lb versus 24 in and 143 lb on the FWB-70B.
What vehicles can this combo handle?
Passenger cars, crossovers, SUVs, and light trucks. The tire changer clamps 10 to 24 in rims and the balancer accepts rims up to 30 in, which covers larger SUV and truck wheels.
How does the automatic data entry work?
Pull the measuring ruler to the rim edge and a linear grating scale reads distance and diameter automatically. Lower the wheel guard and width calculates on its own. No manual input.
What does the laser do?
It pinpoints where the balance weight goes, and the built-in LED fill light keeps the spot visible in any shop lighting. No guessing and no repositioning.
What is ALU-S mode?
A mode that hides adhesive weights behind the spokes of custom alloy wheels. It works with 3 to 12 spoke configurations, keeping weights out of sight on show wheels.
What air compressor do I need?
The tire changer requires 116 to 145 PSI (8 to 10 bar) from a standard shop compressor with adequate CFM for the bead breaker and turbo blast. The wheel balancer requires no compressed air.
