Dual Assist Arms on a Swing Arm Design

Upper and lower roller arms hold the tire bead in the drop center during mounting, pushing and pulling where a bare swing arm machine leaves you to lever alone. That is the difference-maker on low-profile and run-flat sidewalls.

186-Steel Bead Breaker

The bead breaker cylinder delivers 5,512 lb of force. Stiff sidewalls break loose without drama.

Rim Protection at Every Contact Point

Plastic covers ride on the bead breaker blade, turntable claws, and working head, and the hard chrome, high-frequency quenched working head resists wear. Alloy wheels come off the machine looking the way they went on.

One-Piece Machined Chuck

The turntable chuck base is machined from a single piece for rigidity, so the four self-centering jaws stay true instead of developing slop as clamping cycles accumulate.

Five Balance Modes, Plus or Minus 1 g

The FWB-70B runs Dynamic, Static, ALU1, ALU2, and ALU3 modes, covering clip weights on steel rims through hidden adhesive weights inside alloys. Precision is plus or minus 1 g, with a high-precision mode that displays residual values under 5 g.

7 Second Cycles with Auto-Start and Brake

Lower the wheel guard and the balancer starts on its own, measures in 7 seconds, and the electronic brake holds the wheel at position for weight placement. Under 70 dB, it will not be the loudest thing in the shop either.

Installation Requirements

Space and Floor

The tire changer needs a 44 x 30 in footprint plus clearance for the swing arm; allow room around the balancer for wheel mounting and operator access. Both machines want a level floor, and combined weight is approximately 700 lb.

Electrical

Both machines are available in 110V single-phase, with separate circuits recommended. The tire changer can alternatively run 220V three-phase.

Air Supply

The tire changer requires 8-10 bar (116-145 PSI) shop air for the bead breaker and turbo blast. The balancer uses no compressed air.

Shipping & Delivery

Freight shipping within the lower 48 states; your delivery charge is shown at checkout, and terminal delivery to your carrier's local terminal is available as a checkout option.

You are responsible for unloading; a forklift or similar equipment is required, and a loading dock or liftgate may be required depending on the product. Check the delivery options on the product page before ordering.

Inspect your order before signing. Note concealed and visible damage or shortages on the Bill of Lading or delivery receipt at delivery.

Warranty

Fortisky lifts carry a 3 year structural warranty covering arms, columns, carriages, legs, overhead beams, tracks, cross rails, top rail beams, swivel pins, and uprights, and a 2 year limited warranty overall for the original purchaser. After the first 30 days, cylinder issues are resolved with a seal kit and installation instructions.

Wheel service equipment carries a 1 year warranty on all operating components.

Wear and maintenance items such as cables, chains, slider blocks, rubber pads, and pulleys are excluded, along with on-site labor and damage from improper installation, operation, or maintenance. Missing lift parts must be reported within 72 hours. Freight damage is not a warranty issue; document it at delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions

What vehicles can this combo handle?
Passenger cars, SUVs, crossovers, and light trucks. The tire changer clamps 10-22 in rims externally and 12-24 in internally; the balancer handles rims up to 24 in. It is not intended for heavy-duty commercial truck tires.
Do both machines run on 110V?
Yes, both are available in 110V single-phase. The tire changer can also be run on 220V three-phase if preferred; the balancer is 110V only.
What air compressor do I need?
The tire changer requires 8-10 bar (116-145 PSI) for the bead breaker and turbo blast, which a standard shop compressor with adequate CFM covers. The balancer requires no compressed air.
Can the tire changer handle run-flats?
Yes. The dual assist arms hold the bead in the drop center, the 5,512 lb bead breaker handles stiff run-flat sidewalls, and the working head geometry is shaped for them.
What balance modes does the FWB-70B have?
Five: Dynamic (clip weights both sides), Static (single plane), ALU1 (clip weights on alloy shoulders), ALU2 (hidden adhesive inside), and ALU3 (combination). That covers steel and alloy wheels and every common weight placement.
How heavy is the combo to receive?
Approximately 700 lb combined: 485 lb for the tire changer and 212 lb for the balancer, arriving in separate crates.
