John Dow JDI-20COMBO-B Combination Fluid Evacuator and Oil Drain

Right now you're probably running two separate units for one job, a drain tank for straight pan drops and a separate extractor for anything that needs to be pulled. The JDI-20COMBO-B from John Dow Industries puts both jobs on one cart. Roll it under the vehicle, pull the plug, and fluid drops straight through the 16in offset funnel into the 20-gallon steel tank. Need to extract instead? Hook up shop air and the venturi vacuum system pulls fluid through the 7' suction hose using whichever of the six probes fits the job.

The 2-gallon transparent bowl sits between the funnel and the tank, so you see what's coming through before it's buried under everything else you've drained that shift. Discolored oil, metal in the pan, water where there shouldn't be any, you catch it while it's still isolated in the bowl. It's rated to handle fluid up to 212 F, so you're not stalling a job to let anything cool first. And if a probe or adapter goes missing down the line, GSG can get you a replacement without a special order.

Key Features & Benefits

20-Gallon Steel Tank Holds a full day's worth of drained fluid, so you're not stopping mid-shift to empty it.
16in Offset Funnel with Metal Screen Keeps drain plugs and shop debris out of the tank, and the screen lifts out clean for easy clearing.
Self-Evacuating with 6' Discharge Hose Empty the tank through the hose without tipping or lifting the unit.
Venturi Vacuum Generator with Gauge Shop air builds the suction, and the gauge tells you when you've hit the right level, no guessing.
Oil- and Chemical-Resistant Wheels Rolls easily between bays and stands up to the spills that happen around a drain tank.
Six Suction Probes and Three OE Adapters Match the probe to the vehicle, then store the whole set in the onboard tube when you're done.
Sight Tube Check the fluid level in the tank at a glance without opening it up.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this unit need special shop air to run the vacuum side?

No special compressor needed, but you do need shop air in the 110-115 psi range for the venturi vacuum system to build proper suction. Most shop air setups already run in that window.

How long does it take to empty the tank once it's full?

Depressurization runs 120-150 seconds before you can safely open the tank for discharge. Once it's depressurized, the 6' hose does the rest without any lifting or tipping.

Can I check the oil before it drains into the tank?

Yes. The 2-gallon transparent bowl sits between the funnel and the tank, and it's heat resistant up to 212 F, so you can visually check color and contamination before the fluid moves on.

Will the included probes fit the vehicles I service?

You get six suction probes and three OE style adapters in the box, covering a range of drain plug and dipstick configurations without buying extras separately.

Can I adjust the height to work more comfortably?

Yes. The unit adjusts from 50 in to 70 in, so you can set it to a comfortable working height instead of bending over a fixed-height tank.

Will the wheels hold up to spills and shop chemicals?

The casters and wheels are oil- and chemical-resistant, built specifically for rolling through the kind of spills that happen around a drain and extraction unit.
