Coats 182079 Bead Breaking Cylinder Seal Kit

When your bead breaker starts moving slow or stops breaking beads cleanly, the culprit is almost always worn cylinder seals. The Coats 182079 seal kit is the OEM replacement for the 8-inch bead breaking cylinder on most Coats rim clamp tire changers. It covers a full cylinder rebuild: piston seal, rod seals, and end cap seals for both cap types. One kit, complete job.

The bead breaking cylinder is the air cylinder inside the machine with just the shaft exposed to the right side. It's what pulls the bead breaking arm in and drives the shovel against the tire sidewall. When the seals wear out, you'll notice slow shovel travel, air leaking at the shaft, or a bead breaker that just can't generate enough force to seat properly. Swapping the seals restores full stroke and puts the arm back to working the way it should.

This kit fits a wide range of Coats rimclamp models including the RC200EX, 5040, 5050, 5060, 5065, 6050, 6060, 6065, 7050, 7055, 7060, 7065, 7655, 7660, 7665, and APX80/APX90 series. If your machine uses the 8-inch foot-operated bead breaking cylinder (ref 8183312), this is the correct kit. Cross-references include 8182079, TI182079, BW-1220-79, and 8183516.
