COATS APX90 Tire Changer for Runflat Tires

When a customer hands you a wheel wrapped in a stiff runflat sidewall, you already know the standard machine in the corner is going to fight you the whole way. That's the problem the COATS APX90 tire changer for runflats tire solves. This is the top of the COATS rim clamp line, the machine built for shops that see the tires nobody else wants to touch. The runflats, the low-profile performance rubber, the wheels that cost more than the job ticket.

The coats apx90e platform pairs a leverless Duckhead mount and dismount system with the Robo-Arm bead depressor and the pre-installed Robo-Roller, so the toughest beads stay seated in the drop center where they belong. You apply pressure, the machine holds it, and the wheel comes apart clean. No prying, no white knuckles, no scarred rims.

External clamping runs from 9 inches up to 30 inches without swapping in special adapters, and the built-in wheel lift takes the strain of hoisting heavy assemblies off your back. For a heavy duty tire changer machine that earns its footprint, the runflat tire changer capability is what sets this coats tire changer machine apart from a shop's everyday unit. Order yours and you get real people on the phone who know this equipment, plus replacement parts support when you need it.

Installation & Setup

Plan your bay around an 88-inch working height and a 74-inch by 65-inch floor footprint before this coats tire changing machine arrives. It runs on a 110 V, 2 HP electric motor, and the clamping and roller systems are air cylinder operated, so you'll need clean, dry shop air in the 110 to 175 psi range feeding the 1.5 HP air motor.

One note worth taking seriously: the COATS warranty excludes failures caused by contaminated air. Water, rust, and debris in your lines are the enemy of any air-operated tire changer machine, so set up filtration and drainage up front and you protect the machine and the coverage at the same time.

A heavy duty runflat tire changer suits high-volume operations, including fleets running military runflat tire changer and armored vehicle work where reliability is non-negotiable.

High-Throughput Tire Bays

The built-in wheel lift and leverless head keep techs moving fast, so your shop turns more wheels without burning out the crew.
