Challenger Lift Blackout Kit - Keep Vehicles Moving When the Power Isn't

A power outage hits and a customer's car is sitting six feet in the air. Without a plan, that vehicle isn't coming down until power's restored - and that could mean hours of downtime, a frustrated customer, and a bottleneck in your bay. The Challenger Lift 10700 / 10702 Blackout Kit solves that problem before it starts. It gives you a manual, hydraulic lowering solution that lets you bring a vehicle down safely, even with zero power to the building.

The system splits into two components that work together: the Lift Prep Kit (Part 10702) attaches permanently to each lift, and the Pump Kit (Part 10700) is the portable hand pump your facility keeps on hand. One pump kit covers your whole shop. Each lift gets its own prep kit. When an outage hits, your trained tech connects the pump, activates the flow control device, and brings the car down in a controlled, deliberate way. No guesswork, no rigging, no risk.

This is a Challenger Lifts solution built specifically for Challenger 2-post lift models. Lightweight and easy to carry, the pump kit stores neatly in the included tote bag. It's a one-time-use-per-outage solution, so once the power comes back, you're back to normal operations. Think of it less as a repair tool and more as shop insurance - something you hope you never need, but you'll be very glad you have when the lights go out.

Challenger lifts parts like this blackout kit are exactly the kind of thing you want sourced before you need them. We carry it in stock and ship it free to the lower 48, so you're not scrambling after a crisis. Questions before you order? Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need one Blackout Kit for every lift, or can one kit cover my whole shop?

It depends on which component you're talking about. The Pump Kit (Part 10700) is the portable hand pump, and one pump kit is the minimum requirement for the entire facility - it's designed to move from lift to lift as needed. The Lift Prep Kit (Part 10702), however, must be installed on each individual lift. So if you have four Challenger 2-post lifts, you'll need four Lift Prep Kits but only one Pump Kit at minimum.

What Challenger lift models is this blackout kit compatible with?

The 10700 / 10702 Blackout Kit is designed specifically for Challenger 2-post lift models. If you're unsure whether your specific Challenger auto lift model is compatible, call us at (855) 498-2147 and we'll confirm compatibility before you order.

Can this kit be used multiple times, or is it a one-time-use item?

The Blackout Kit is intended as a temporary solution and should only be used once per lift during a single outage event. It's not a substitute for normal lift operation and shouldn't be used as a routine lowering method. Once power is restored, standard lift operation resumes.

Does any technician on staff know how to use the Blackout Kit, or is special training required?

Challenger Lifts specifies that the Blackout Kit should only be used by properly trained technicians. It's not a tool for general shop staff to operate without instruction. Review the included manual and make sure the appropriate personnel are trained on the procedure before an outage occurs - that's when you'll need to act quickly and confidently.

Does the Blackout Kit ship for free?

Yes - free shipping applies to orders going to addresses in the contiguous lower 48 states. Call (855) 498-2147 if you have any questions about your specific shipping destination or need to confirm lead times before ordering.
