Challenger EW10CK Completion Kit for EW10 Wide Inground Lift Overview
Your cassette is in the ground, the concrete is cured, and you need the above-ground hardware to bring the bay online. The Challenger EW10CK completion kit delivers the superstructure, 3-stage arms, standard pedestal controls, and 2HP power unit for the EW10 series wide inground lift. This is the base configuration: 10,000 lb capacity, 88 inches of extra-wide drive-through clearance, and a straightforward control layout with no added complexity.
The EW10 platform's width is what sets it apart from conventional inground lifts. That 88-inch clearance is wide enough to lower EV battery packs without sacrificing standard cassette functionality for conventional vehicles. Challenger's 3-stage front and rear arms with double-telescoping screw pads give you precise pick-point positioning across a wide vehicle mix, and the bolster-free design means nothing to drive over when pulling vehicles in and out of the bay.
This is the no-frills entry point into the EW10 completion kit lineup. Standard pedestal controls mount adjacent to the lift, the 2HP motor delivers a 41-second rise time, and you're up and running. If you decide later that faster cycle times or bench-mount controls would improve your workflow, those upgrades are available through the QC and BMC kit variants. But for shops that need reliable capacity and EV-width clearance without the extras, the EW10CK gets you there. ALI/ETL certified.

Installation and Setup
The completion kit installs onto an existing EW10 cassette and frame that's already set in concrete. The EW10 platform uses a simplified single concrete pour instead of the older three-pour approach, so if your groundwork followed the current spec, you're ready for the above-ground build.
You'll need 208V-230V single-phase power at 60Hz for the 2HP motor, plus shop air between 90 and 120 psi. Standard pedestal controls mount adjacent to the lift, so plan your control placement for easy technician access without obstructing vehicle entry. Professional installation by a qualified lift technician is strongly recommended to maintain warranty coverage and ensure ALI/ETL compliance.
Applications
The 88-inch drive-through clearance lets you lower battery packs out of electric vehicles while still functioning as a standard inground lift for conventional service work.
3-stage arms with double-telescoping screw pads reach specific pick-up points on wide-chassis luxury sedans and performance vehicles that narrower lifts can't accommodate.
The base EW10CK configuration gives you 10,000 lb capacity with standard controls and no added complexity. Reliable daily-use lifting for shops that don't need faster cycle times or bench-mount integration.
From compact EVs to full-size trucks, the 10,000 lb capacity and 20" to 42" arm reach cover a wide mix of makes and models without swapping adapters between every job.
Model Comparison
The EW10CK is the base completion kit. Here's how it compares to the upgraded configurations:
| Feature | EW10CK (Standard) | EW10CK-QC (QuickCycle) |
|---|---|---|
| Speed of Rise | 41 seconds | 24 seconds |
| Motor | 2HP, 208V-230V, 60Hz, 1Ph | 3HP, 208V-230V, 60Hz, 1Ph |
| Lifting Capacity | 10,000 lbs | 10,000 lbs |
| Drive-Through Clearance | 88" | 88" |
| Arms | 3-stage front / 3-stage rear | 3-stage front / 3-stage rear |
| Certifications | ALI/ETL | ALI/ETL |
The EW10CK uses standard pedestal controls with the 2HP motor. If you want faster cycle times, the EW10CK-QC upgrades to a 3HP QuickCycle motor with a 24-second rise time. For bench-mount controls that integrate into a workbench, the EW10CK-BMC and EW10CK-BMC-QC kits are also available. All four kits share the same 10,000 lb capacity, 88-inch clearance, and 3-stage arm architecture.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the EW10CK completion kit include?
The completion kit provides the above-ground components needed to finish an EW10 inground lift installation, including the superstructure, 3-stage arm assemblies, standard pedestal controls, and the 2HP power unit. The underground cassette and cylinder assembly are separate components and must already be set in concrete before the completion kit is installed.
How does the EW10CK compare to the other EW10 completion kits?
The EW10CK is the base configuration with standard pedestal controls and a 2HP motor delivering a 41-second rise time. The EW10CK-QC adds QuickCycle (3HP motor, 24-second rise). The EW10CK-BMC swaps to bench-mount controls. The EW10CK-BMC-QC combines both upgrades. All four share the same 10,000 lb capacity, 88-inch clearance, and 3-stage arms.
Can I upgrade to QuickCycle or bench-mount controls later?
QuickCycle involves a different motor (3HP versus 2HP) and associated hydraulic components. Bench-mount controls require workbench integration and different wiring. If either upgrade is likely, it's more cost-effective to start with the appropriate kit variant. Contact us to discuss upgrade paths for existing installations.
What concrete and electrical requirements does this kit need?
The completion kit installs onto an EW10 cassette already set in concrete using the simplified single-pour method. Electrical requirements are 208V-230V single-phase power at 60Hz for the 2HP motor. You'll also need shop air between 90 and 120 psi for operation.
Can this lift handle electric vehicles and EV battery service?
Yes. The EW10's 88-inch drive-through clearance is wide enough to lower EV battery packs while maintaining conventional lift functionality. The optional EV Kit (Part #10900) adds low-profile EV-ready foot pads, universal foot pads, 3-inch and 6-inch adapters, and storage racks for safe EV lifting across multiple platforms.
What arm reach and screw pad range does this lift offer?
The 3-stage arms provide a reach of 20 to 42 inches, and the double-telescoping screw pads adjust from 4 inches to 6.125 inches in height. This range covers pick-up points on everything from compact EVs to wide-body luxury vehicles and full-size trucks with a 10,000 lb total lifting capacity at 2,500 lbs per arm.
Is the Challenger EW10 ALI/ETL certified?
Yes. Both the standard EW1020 and the EW1020-QC carry full ALI/ETL certification. This means the lift meets Automotive Lift Institute safety standards, which is typically required for insurance compliance and shop inspections.
What colors are available for the superstructure?
The EW10 superstructure is available in Black, Red, or Blue. Confirm your preferred color when placing your order so the correct panels ship with your completion kit. Color selection does not affect specifications or performance.
How is this completion kit shipped and what do I need for unloading?
The kit ships via flatbed freight truck. You'll receive a tracking number and schedule a delivery appointment with the carrier. A forklift or equivalent equipment is required for unloading, as standard delivery does not include unloading service. Contact us before ordering if you need liftgate or residential delivery options.
What warranty coverage comes with the EW10 completion kit?
Challenger provides a limited warranty to the original purchaser. For inground lifts in the 10K-15K range, typical coverage is 1-year labor, 2-year parts, and 5-year structural. The warranty is non-transferable and requires registration. Claims need the lift's serial number and must go through an authorized service representative.
