The UC package includes 8-1/2" chrome pistons, chrome non-breathing RAM-style hydraulic cylinders, the 2 HP power unit (208-230V, single-phase, 38-second rise), standard wall-mounted power controls, true 3-stage front and rear versymmetric arms with 19-5/8" to 42-1/8" reach, double telescoping screw pads (3-7/8" to 6"), stainless steel air lock release cylinder, synchronizing rail, and all installation hardware. Challenger EV1020-UC Installation Requirements
Pre-Kit Foundation Required First
The CSPK-series pre-kit must be fully installed before the upper components can be assembled. The concrete must be a minimum 4" thick, reinforced, rated at 3,500+ PSI, and fully cured for 28+ days before proceeding with upper components installation.
Electrical Requirements
The 2 HP motor requires 208-230V, single-phase, 60Hz power on a dedicated 30A circuit with circuit breaker or time-delay fuse. The electric motor must be mounted at least 18" above the finished floor per National Electric Code NFPA70. Three-phase options (208/230/460V) are available. A licensed electrician must install and verify the electrical supply meets all local codes and manufacturer specifications.
Pneumatic Requirements
90 - 120 PSI clean, dry, lubricated, and pressure-regulated shop air supply required. The air supply must run through a Filter/Regulator/Lubricator (FLR) within 30 feet of the factory-assembled air valve. Failure to provide properly conditioned air will void the warranty on pneumatic components.
Service Bay Layout
Minimum 12' bay height recommended. The 97" overall width with 87" drive-thru clearance requires adequate bay width for safe vehicle entry and exit. Allow sufficient clearance from obstructions on all sides for arm swing and technician access. The power unit should be wall-mounted or on a floor pedestal, positioned out of the working area. Indoor use only.
