Who It's For

Professional Alignment Shops

If you're running a dedicated alignment bay, this is the lift. The open-front design, built-in plates, and 15 locking positions let you knock out alignments all day without fighting your equipment.

Multi-Service Facilities

Need alignment capability but don't want to give up a whole bay for it? The HDSO14AX pulls double duty for alignments, brake jobs, and general maintenance.

Home Garages

For the serious enthusiast with proper concrete and ceiling height (12 ft recommended). The maintenance-free power system works great for weekend warriors, but heads up: the footprint is 244.5 x 143 inches, so measure twice.

Features

Open-Front Design and Adjustable Runways

No front crossbar. That means easy drive-on, easy drive-off, and full access to the front end when you're making adjustments. The patented outrigger tubes let you dial in precise leveling even on sloped floors or with uneven loads. Extended approach ramps handle low-clearance vehicles without scraping, and 15 auto-leveling locking positions (spaced every 4 inches) let every tech work at their preferred height.

Integrated Alignment Plates

Rear-facing multi-caster slip plates and front-facing galvanized turn plates come standard. Two recessed turn plate pockets give you flexibility on positioning. No hunting for compatible plates or rigging something up. Just drive on and get to work.

Heavy-Duty Cable System

BendPak went big here: 10.5-inch self-lubricating cable sheaves with 1-3/8-inch roller axles that outlast the competition. Four 1/2-inch aircraft-quality steel cables (6x25 construction) run fully enclosed inside the columns where they're protected from damage. Internal UHMW slider blocks kill platform sway so you're not wrestling the lift while you work.

Triple Safety System

Spring-loaded locks engage automatically on the way up. Cable slack detection shuts things down instantly if something's off. And a hydraulic flow restrictor guarantees controlled descent even if you lose hydraulic pressure. Push-button pneumatic release handles all locks at once when you're ready to lower.

Maintenance-Free Power

The electric-hydraulic power system doesn't need babysitting. No adjustments, no fiddling. All the cables, sheaves, airlines, and hydraulic hoses run internally through the structure with flexible conduit protection. Built-in grease fittings keep the sheaves lubricated.

Compatible Accessories

Expand what you can do with the JP-6 sliding jack platform (6,000-lb capacity) for wheel-off service, the DP-30 rolling oil drain pan, aluminum alignment turnplates, and LITESTIX for easier drive-on positioning.

Installation Requirements

Concrete and Space

Concrete: You need at least 4 inches of reinforced concrete rated at 3,000 PSI, level within 3 degrees. Keep anchors 6+ inches away from expansion seams or control joints. Don't install on cracked, damaged, or hand-mixed concrete.

Space: Plan for at least 250 x 150 inches of floor space plus room to actually get vehicles in and out. Ceiling height of 12 feet recommended for full rise. And no, you can't put this on an upper floor or over a basement without written approval from a structural engineer.

Utilities

Electrical: 208-240V / 50/60 Hz / Single Phase. A dedicated circuit is a good idea. Air: 30-40 PSI for the pneumatic lock release. We recommend professional installation. Give us a call and we can point you to certified installers in your area.

Shipping

Typically ships free to commercial addresses with a loading dock or forklift in the 48 continental U.S. Lead time runs about 1-2 weeks. Residential delivery is available with liftgate service for an extra fee. Got questions? Call us at +1 (855) 498-2147.

FAQs

What size vehicles can the HDSO14AX handle?

Anything up to 14,000 lbs with wheelbases from 80 to 182 inches. That covers most sedans, SUVs, full-size trucks, and commercial vehicles. Minimum wheelbase depends on how much weight you're lifting.

What makes this an alignment lift instead of a regular four-post?

Two things: the integrated slip plates and galvanized turn plates for free-floating adjustments, and the open-front design that gives you actual access to the steering and suspension components.

What are the electrical and air requirements?

You'll need 208-240V / 50/60 Hz / single phase power and 30-40 PSI compressed air for the pneumatic lock release. A dedicated circuit is recommended.

What kind of concrete do I need?

At least 4 inches of reinforced concrete rated at 3,000 PSI, level within 3 degrees. Anchors need to be 6+ inches from any seams or joints.

Is the HDSO14AX ALI certified?

Yes. It's CE compliant (EN 1493) and ALI/ETL certified for North American safety standards.

Can I use this for work beyond alignments?

Absolutely. It handles general maintenance, inspections, and undercar service just fine.

What safety features does it have?

Spring-loaded locks that engage automatically, cable slack detection that stops operation instantly, and a hydraulic flow restrictor that controls descent even if you lose pressure.

How much maintenance does it need?

Not much. The electric-hydraulic system doesn't need adjustment. Just do monthly inspections of cables, hydraulics, and locks. There are built-in grease fittings for the sheaves.
