Heavy Duty Truck Jack Stands Built for the Work That Doesn't Quit

If your shop works on heavy trucks, buses, or fleet vehicles, you already know that most jack stands weren't made with you in mind. The AFF 3340SD changes that. These american forge and foundry jack stands carry a 33,000 lb (16.5-ton) rated capacity and reach heights from 57" all the way up to 82" - so you're not contorting yourself around a stand that wasn't tall enough to begin with. This is one of the most capable tall truck jack stands on the market, and it earns that position through construction, not claims.

Twenty-one 1" height increments give you a wide working range right away. Then a 4" fine adjustment by screw lets you dial in exactly where you need it. That combination means you're not shimming, improvising, or compromising your working height. You set it once, it stays there, and you get to work. The spring-loaded tower makes height changes fast, and the spring-loaded caster wheels let you roll the stand into position without a fight - even on a loaded shop floor.

The non-skid rubber saddle pad keeps things where you put them. It protects the vehicle from contact damage and keeps the stand from walking under load. Super heavy duty construction throughout - this thing was purpose-built for truck and bus support, not scaled up from a passenger car design. When you're supporting 33,000 lbs off the ground, that distinction matters.

These are the truck jack stands you buy when you're done dealing with stands that weren't made for the job. Order ships free to the lower 48, and our team is standing by at (855) 498-2147 if you have questions before you buy.

Applications - Who These Jack Stands Are For

Semi Truck and Fleet Service

Jack stands for semi trucks demand a height range and capacity that passenger-car stands simply can't deliver. The 3340SD's 57" to 82" range puts you exactly where you need to be under a loaded frame.

Bus and Coach Maintenance

Transit and motor coach shops deal with the same tall chassis and heavy axle loads. These heavy duty truck jack stands were purpose-built for that environment - not adapted from lighter-duty designs.

Heavy Equipment and Work Truck Support

Vocational trucks, construction vehicles, and agricultural equipment often demand both high reach and serious capacity. The 33,000 lb rating means you're not guessing whether the stand can handle it.

High-Volume Commercial Shops

Spring-loaded casters make repositioning fast between jobs. If you're cycling through trucks all day, that portability keeps your bay time efficient instead of burning it on stand setup.

Model Comparison - Fixed High Truck Stand Series

American Forge and Foundry offers three models in the Fixed High Truck Stand line. Each covers a different capacity and height range, so you can match the stand to your specific application rather than over- or under-specifying.

Model Capacity Height Range Adjustments
3344SD 15,000 lb 36" to 54" 17 x 1" increments
3342SD 15,000 lb 57" to 82" 20 x 1" increments with 4" fine adjust by screw
3340SD 33,000 lb 57" to 82" 21 x 1" increments with 4" fine adjustment by screw

The 3344SD is the right call when your height needs are lower and 15,000 lb is enough capacity. The 3342SD hits the same high range as the 3340SD but at half the rated capacity - a good fit for lighter trucks and buses. If you're regularly supporting heavy semi or vocational truck frames, the 3340SD is the one. Not sure which model fits your work? Call us at (855) 498-2147.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the maximum height the AFF 3340SD reaches?

The 3340SD adjusts from 57" up to 82" in total. You get 21 increments of 1" for broad range adjustments, plus a 4" fine adjustment by screw for precise positioning at any working height within that range.

Is the 3340SD rated for semi trucks and heavy buses?

Yes. The 3340SD carries a 33,000 lb (16.5-ton) rated capacity and was purpose-built for truck and bus support. The height range of 57" to 82" is specifically suited to the taller chassis found on semi trucks, transit buses, and heavy vocational vehicles. These are jack stands for semi trucks and commercial fleets, not scaled-up versions of passenger car stands.

How do the spring-loaded casters work and can the stand be moved when positioned under a vehicle?

The spring-loaded casters are designed to make positioning and portability easy before the stand is placed under load. They allow you to roll the stand into place on the shop floor. Once the stand is bearing weight under a vehicle, you should not attempt to reposition it - always relieve load before moving any jack stand.

Does this ship free and how long does delivery take?

Yes, the AFF 3340SD ships free to all contiguous lower 48 states. The ship weight is 324 lb, so this moves as a freight shipment. For specific delivery timeframes to your location, call us at (855) 498-2147 and we can give you a more precise estimate.

What's the difference between the 3340SD and the 3342SD?

Both models cover the same 57" to 82" height range, but they differ in capacity. The 3340SD is rated at 33,000 lb and offers 21 height adjustment increments. The 3342SD is rated at 15,000 lb with 20 increments. If you're supporting heavy semi truck frames or high-GVW vehicles, the 3340SD is the right choice. The 3342SD works well for lighter trucks and buses where 15,000 lb of capacity is sufficient.
