Floor and Clearance Requirements
The 3179A needs a solid, level surface - 319 lbs. of jack on uneven or soft flooring is an accident waiting to happen. Verify your vehicle's ground clearance against the 6.5" minimum height before you order. The jack extends to 31.7" at full height, so confirm overhead clearance in your lift area as well.
Positioning and Load Control
The long handle pivots 360 degrees around the pump. Before you lift, pick the side that gives you the clearest sightline to the transmission mount - adjust your position once, then work from there. Use the adjustable saddle arms to secure the load fully before raising. The 4-way tilt lets you dial in the angle of the component during both removal and installation - take the time to get the angle right before you're fighting the weight of the transmission against a misaligned bellhousing.

Warranty
American Forge & Foundry warrants this equipment to the final purchaser to be free from operating defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. Torque wrench calibration is covered for 90 days from purchase.
If a defect is confirmed within the warranty period, AFF will repair or replace the product at no charge, provided the equipment is shipped prepaid with proof of purchase to AFF or an authorized Field Service Depot.
This warranty does not cover damage from accident, overload, abuse, or use with attachments not recommended by AFF. No other warranties, express or implied, apply. AFF's sole obligation is repair or replacement of defective components.
