2000 lb Transmission Jack - American Forge and Foundry AFF 3102

Dropping a transmission solo is a two-person job nobody wants to repeat. The AFF 3102 is a 2,000 lb manual hydraulic transmission jack from American Forge and Foundry that puts the weight under your control instead of working against you. Rated for medium-duty truck transmissions, transfer cases, and differentials, this jack handles the load so your tech can stay focused on the work - not on holding something heavy while trying not to get hurt.

The double pump hydraulic system gets you to working height fast. No slow single-stroke cranking while a transmission hangs in the air. Two-stage telescoping ram covers a low height of 37 inches up to a high height of 76 inches, which means real vertical range across a wide spread of vehicle heights without repositioning your lift or your crew. At 2,000 lbs - a full 1 ton - this is the aff transmission jack built for the heavy stuff, not just passenger car pullouts.

Build quality matters when a jack goes under loaded drivetrains every working day. The powder coat finish resists chemicals, scratches, and the kind of shop abuse that wears cheaper hydraulic transmission jacks down fast. Chrome-plated pump core and piston rod keep friction low and the hydraulic action smooth, so you get consistent performance on the first job of the week and the last one on Friday. This american forge and foundry transmission jack adheres to ASME 2014 standards - that's verified performance, not just a spec sheet claim.

What's Included

  • AFF 3102 manual hydraulic transmission jack
  • Adjustable saddle
  • Corner bracket
  • Safety chain

The optional Fuel Tank Adapter (Model 3198) is sold separately. It includes safety straps and grounding cables for fuel tank applications.

Installation & Setup

Positioning the Jack

Place the AFF 3102 directly under the transmission or drivetrain component before beginning the lift. The 28 in. x 32 in. base gives you a stable footprint on a flat shop floor. Make sure the work surface is level and the vehicle is properly secured on a lift or jack stands before putting any load on the jack.

Saddle Adjustment and Safety Chain

Use the adjustable saddle and corner bracket to match the mounting profile of the transmission or housing you're pulling. Once the load is seated, secure it with the safety chain before you begin lifting. A shifting transmission mid-lift is a serious shop hazard - the chain is there for a reason. Use it every time.

Hydraulic Operation

The double pump system lets you raise quickly to approximate height, then dial in final position with controlled strokes. The two-stage telescopic ram extends smoothly across the full 37 in. to 76 in. range. When lowering, use controlled hydraulic release - slow and steady. Don't let the load drop.

This is a 2-stage transmission jack rated for medium-duty truck transmissions, transfer cases, and differentials. Do not exceed the 2,000 lb capacity under any circumstances.

Applications

Medium-Duty Truck Transmission Service

Built for the load demands of medium-duty truck transmissions. The 2-ton capacity covers the heavy iron that lighter automotive transmission jacks can't safely handle.

Transfer Case Removal and Installation

The adjustable saddle and front-rear tilt range give you the angle control you need for clean transfer case drops - without the wrestling match under a raised truck.

Differential Service

Rear and front differential work benefits from the telescoping ram's full vertical range. Get under it, support it, and bring it down controlled on every job.

General Automatic and Manual Transmission Work

A capable heavy duty transmission jack for shops running a mix of passenger cars and light trucks alongside heavier vehicles. The 2,000 lb rating covers nearly everything in a typical bay rotation - manual and automatic transmission service alike.

Model Comparison

The AFF heavy-duty transmission jack line covers 1,100 lb and 2,000 lb capacities in manual and air-assisted configurations. All four models share the same two-stage telescopic ram design and base dimensions - the differences come down to capacity and how fast you want to pump.

Model Operation Capacity Ram Stages Low Height High Height Front Tilt Rear Tilt Base Width Weight
3052 Manual 1,100 lbs 2 37 in. 78 in. 28 deg. 49 deg. 28 x 32 in. 161 lbs
3052A Air Assist 1,100 lbs 2 37 in. 78 in. 28 deg. 49 deg. 28 x 32 in. 170 lbs
3102 - This Model Manual 2,000 lbs 2 37 in. 76 in. 28 deg. 49 deg. 28 x 32 in. 174 lbs
3102A Air Assist 2,000 lbs 2 37 in. 76 in. 28 deg. 49 deg. 28 x 32 in. 183 lbs

Running lighter car and light-truck work? The 3052 is the right call. Running high volume and want to cut down on pump strokes? The air-assist 3102A keeps the 2,000 lb capacity and drops the manual effort. Call us and we'll help you pick the right one for your shop volume.
