American Forge and Foundry 3052A Transmission Jack with Air Assist

Dropping a transmission without a dedicated jack is a fight nobody wants. The American Forge and Foundry 3052A is a 1,100 lb air-assisted hydraulic transmission jack built for medium duty transmissions, transfer cases, and differentials. Two-stage telescopic ram, double pump system, and an adjustable saddle with corner bracket - everything you need to get under the drivetrain and pull it clean without turning a manageable job into an all-day ordeal.

The double pump hydraulic system speeds up your lift cycle so you're not burning time on every stroke. Air assist takes the physical work out of it - connect your shop air and you're raising the load with minimal effort. This air over hydraulic transmission jack is the difference between a smooth, controlled pull and the kind of job that wears out your arms before the transmission is even off the crossmember. Chrome-plated pump core and piston rod keep friction low and hold up through daily shop use, and the powder coat finish resists the chemicals, grease, and road grime that come standard with any drivetrain job.

The adjustable saddle seats securely across different transmission profiles and the safety chain locks the load in while you maneuver. At 37 inches low and 78 inches at full extension, the telescopic ram gives you the range to work comfortably on most lifts and configurations. This heavy duty transmission jack adheres to ASME 2014 standards - it's certified, not just claimed.

The American Forge and Foundry transmission jack ships free to the lower 48. Questions before you order? Call (855) 498-2147 - we'll make sure it's the right fit for your shop.

What's Included

  • Adjustable saddle with corner bracket
  • Safety chain

The optional Fuel Tank Adapter (Model 3198) is available separately and includes safety straps and grounding cables for fuel tank removal applications.

Installation & Setup

Air Supply Connection

The air assist function requires a compressed air source. Before operating, connect your shop air line to the jack to enable air-assisted lift. Refer to the included manual for operating pressure specifications, connection requirements, and full setup instructions.

Saddle Positioning

The adjustable saddle with corner bracket needs to be properly seated and positioned against the transmission before raising the load. Once the saddle is set, secure the safety chain. Don't skip this step - even a stable load can shift during the pull, and the chain is your backup when it does.

Applications

Automatic and Manual Transmissions

The 3052A handles car and truck transmission pulls where a floor jack isn't up to the job. The adjustable saddle accommodates a range of transmission profiles, and the air assisted transmission jack function keeps the lift controlled and consistent across back-to-back jobs.

Transfer Cases

4WD and AWD vehicles need a stable platform for transfer case work. The two-stage telescopic ram gives you the height range to position cleanly under different vehicle clearances, and 1,100 lbs of capacity handles full-size truck transfer cases without stretching the limits of the equipment.

Differentials

Rear differential drops get cleaner when you have a dedicated automotive transmission jack underneath instead of improvising with a standard floor jack. Controlled lift, stable base, and the reach to work comfortably on most configurations.

Fuel Tank Removal (with Optional Adapter)

Pair the 3052A with the optional Fuel Tank Adapter (Model 3198) for controlled fuel tank drops. The adapter includes safety straps and grounding cables to keep the job safe around fuel systems. Sold separately.
