American Forge and Foundry 3400A - 10 Ton Air Lift Jack (Pair)

When you're rolling heavy iron every day, you need a jack that doesn't flinch. The American Forge and Foundry 3400A is a 10 ton air lift jack that delivers 20,000 lbs. of lifting capacity at 200 PSI of shop air. It goes from 18" low height to 52" with all extensions in play, giving you the range to get under semi trailers, farm equipment, and big construction rigs without swapping tools. This listing includes two jacks, so you're set up for tandem lifts right out of the box.

What sets this american forge and foundry 10 ton jack apart is how it handles control. The heavy-duty air valve gives you precise lift adjustment, not the jerky, overshot movements you get with cheaper valves. The removable T-handle keeps it compact for storage between uses, and the extension tubes lock into multiple positions so you're not stuck guessing the right height. Large diameter rubber tread wheels mean you can roll it across a shop floor without it catching every crack in the concrete.

AFF has been making heavy-duty shop equipment since 1963 and backs it up with over 300 service centers nationwide and a full supply of replacement parts. This isn't a throw-away jack. It's a piece of equipment your shop can rely on for years, with the parts and support network to keep it running when you need it most. Free shipping to the lower 48 means it lands at your dock without an extra line item on the invoice.

California residents, note that this product carries a Proposition 65 warning.

Installation & Setup

Air Supply Requirements

This air lifting jack runs on shop air. You need a compressor capable of delivering a sustained 200 PSI to achieve the full 10-ton capacity. Before your first use, confirm your shop's air supply line and fittings are rated for that pressure. Connect the air line to the jack's heavy-duty air valve, verify the connection is secure, and you're ready to lift.

Extension Tube Configuration

The extension tubes can be added or removed to dial in the working height before you lift. Set the extensions to your target height range while the jack is on the ground, not under load. Each tube locks into position, giving you a stable platform at heights from 18" up to 52" with all tubes installed.

Surface and Positioning Notes

Position the jack on a hard, level surface. The large-diameter rubber tread wheels make it easy to maneuver into position, but always confirm the lift point is aligned with a rated jack point on the vehicle or equipment before applying air pressure. Never operate the air jack lift under an unsupported load. Use rated jack stands in tandem when you need to work under lifted equipment.

Applications

Semi Trailers and Large Trucks

The height range and 20,000 lb. capacity make this a natural fit for trailer maintenance, fifth wheel work, and heavy truck axle service. Use the pair together for tandem lifts on long frame jobs.

Farm and Agricultural Equipment

Tractors, combines, and large implements often need more height and capacity than a standard floor jack can offer. This air bag lift jack reaches the frame rails and holds steady while you work.

Construction and Industrial Equipment

Wheel loaders, skid steers, and other construction machinery demand a jack that won't buckle under a heavy corner weight. The 10-ton capacity and stable base handle it without complaint.

Bus and Transit Fleet Maintenance

Fleet shops running bus maintenance need a heavy duty air jack that keeps up with volume. The air lift car jack format moves fast, sets up quickly, and the removable T-handle keeps it storable in tight shop spaces.

Frequently Asked Questions

What air pressure does the AFF 3400A need to reach its full 10-ton capacity?

The jack achieves its full 10-ton (20,000 lb.) lifting capacity at 200 PSI. Your shop compressor and air line must be able to sustain that pressure at the tool connection point. If your supply line drops below 200 PSI under load, you'll get reduced capacity, so verify your system's output before lifting heavy equipment.

What's the height range of this american forge and foundry air jack with and without the extensions?

The low height with no extensions is 18". With all extension tubes installed and locked, the jack reaches 52". The total lift travel is 12", and the extensions add multiple intermediate locking positions in between, giving you flexibility to set your working height before you lift.

Does this listing include two jacks or just one?

This listing is for a pair - two AFF 3400A 10-Ton Air Lift Jacks. Each jack comes with its own removable T-handle and extension tubes. If you need to confirm exactly what's included or have questions about a specific application, call us at (855) 498-2147.

Can I use this air lift jack for cars and light trucks, or is it only for heavy equipment?

The 3400A is engineered for heavy-duty applications - trailers, large trucks, buses, farm and construction equipment. While the capacity would handle most passenger vehicles, the 18" low height means it won't slide under a standard car at ride height without a ramp. For a dedicated air lift jack for car use, a lower-profile model is usually a better match. This unit is best suited for high-clearance heavy equipment and fleet applications.

What does the AFF warranty cover and how long does it last?

American Forge & Foundry provides a one-year limited warranty covering defects in material and workmanship from the date of purchase. If a defect is found, AFF will repair or replace the unit at no charge, provided it's shipped prepaid with proof of purchase. The warranty does not cover damage from overload, accident, abuse, or use of unauthorized attachments.

Q: What air pressure is needed for full 10-ton capacity? A: 200 PSI sustained at the air line connection. Capacity is reduced if supply pressure drops below 200 PSI under load. Q: What is the height range of the AFF 3400A? A: 18" low height without extensions, 52" high height with all extensions installed. Total lift travel is 12". Q: Does this listing include one jack or two? A: Two jacks (a pair). Each includes a removable T-handle and extension tubes. Call (855) 498-2147 to confirm details. Q: Can this jack be used as an air lift jack for cars? A: It can handle the weight but the 18" low height makes it impractical for standard passenger cars. Best suited for high-clearance heavy equipment and fleet use. Q: What does the AFF warranty cover? A: One year covering material and workmanship defects. AFF will repair or replace defective units shipped prepaid with proof of purchase. Does not cover overload, abuse, or unauthorized attachments.
